Well Done England

You are playing like the best team in the world at the moment. Aussies are struggling since 2009, SriLanka are performing well only at home (no series wins of note), India is the same (no series wins abroad against strong opposition in the last 3 years), SouthAfrica are the closest rival but England have beaten them in their own backyard last time. Truly deserving of #1. Enjoy while it lasts as nothings lasts forever.
