Catches Win Matches and Dropped Catch smell Match Fixing?
by pravin sarode on Aug 17, 2011 12:43 PM

Cricket Australia (CA) chief James Sutherland said the body previously had "no doubt" about January's Test against Pakistan, when Australia overcame a 206-run innings deficit to record a stirring win.

But Mazhar Majeed, a property developer and players' agent, told Britain's News of the World he earned $1.3 million for rigging the match, where there were a series of dropped catches and suicidal batting by the visitors.

"CA had been in no doubt that Australia had won that game on the merit of their on-field performance and will now wait on evidence from UK and ICC investigations before making any further comment," Sutherland said.

Majeed, 35, was arrested on match-fixing charges in London and later bailed after the newspaper sting caught him being paid some £150,000 to "spot-fix" three no-balls during the fourth Test at Lord's.

During the sting, he revealed details of the alleged Sydney plot, when Australia put on 124 for their last two wickets and Pakistan slumped to 139 all out. Pakistan match fixing allegations: Australia looking into 'tainted' Sydney Test
Australian cricket officials have expressed shock at a match-fixing scandal engulfing Pakistan and said they were awaiting evidence that this year's bizarre Sydney Test was rigged.
so watch the match with VIGILANT eyes all indians now so as to check sachin throwing wicket as per script of bookies without being caught by any police

Not true. In fact , indian cricket has changed since 2000, we've been winning more often than losing. The days you are talking about, are those days when there were whitewashes more often than not against us.

I never said anything about winning or losing I said players with merit were selected. India was always the losing side which changed after Wadekar took over.

definitely you have a sence of humour..you seems to know everything about what happened in the past..? you know farook engineer was kept indias w/k for such a long time due to west zone pressure..in fact this zone put so much pressure that most of the players came from w.zone only..people like budi kundaran were totally ignored..about vijay merchant..first he dropped pataudi..and finally what happened..when Wadekar lost miserably in England the same tiger pataudi was called back..you should narrate full story mr vivek..

Pataudi was a bigger failure after his return. Anyway the point is Wadekar's capataincy proved to be a game changer in India's favour - from being losers always to being winners at times.

by godi godi on Aug 17, 2011 12:33 PM

The fatty sleep from
World cup win and Playing in IPL for Money made Indian cricketers not to concentrate on playing in England where they get less money is the reason for loosing test series.Nothing official about loosing tests.

sachin needs to be agressive as he was in 1989 when he hit his first test century to win heart of wife anjaliji so sachin is the man who will creat history today and we must support sachin as mad fans as we are left with no choice but to pray god Ganpathi to give sachin power to SAIL the sinking TITANIC

taklu, sachin in 90s was NOT great. he was just as he IS NOW.

same accumulation of runs in easy conditions, failing in tough conditions and stealing his team mates credit...

hmm I do appreciate all in our team and also non-indian cricketers for their efforts, including sachin, i think you know that from my postings.

sachin played various knocks in the 90s when people were falling right left of him, like in the world cup of 1996 for instance.

but yes we both are entitled to our opinions , buddy

i also know many times he's failed when team needed him to score , but i'm saying he looked best in the 90s, wonderful shots and batting technique , it's a treat to watch some of his older vids.

and i dont deny your point of him being an aggregator, that he has been, and so was gavaskar.

India will lose the match by an inning and more than 500 runs and series by 4-0. Virender Sehwag will be bold on the first ball continuously in the third innings.

why you people are having so negative thoughts for your own country..... we must feel proud that we were number one and will fight back to retain our old spot... it is right that these cricketer has really taken this series in lighter mood and paid for that.... Mr. Tendulkar had not played according to his potention but this time Sehwag will take the revange and will score 100 this time..

Mr Pandey does not even know how to spell "bowled"

Good reply and would be liked by many, even if they are not Sehwag fans

it doesn't matter, venu's reply was funny, as sehwag is a dashing opener, so 'bold'goes with 'bowled' , as in, referring to sehwag's king pair haha

That was a typographical error. However, you are a gone case as you do not know a basis difference between Mr. Pandey and Ms Pandey.
