Sure, let Dhoni lose 4-0 or 10-0 we should still sing praises of what he has achieved in the past correct?

Problem with all Indians we live in the past. You should have been born in the dinosaur age.. you know what there would ahve been no cricket and no one to critisize correct?

MSD has lost one bloody series. Is he a machine or what to win all the time. He is going to lose one series here and there. Kapil Devs of the world went around the world getting beaten to pulp. Problem with all Indians is not that we live in the past, but that we lack a sense of proportion and perspective.

Shankar, the team is least bothered about the results. The only thing which is in their minds is 'MONEY, MONEY AND MORE MONEY'. Thus, see what we have today. It is only money game and nothing else. The man from JH is not capable behind wickets, escaping own duty, interfering bowling and trying to show incapability of bowlers!

Mr Chaturveri, It's a fact - only MONEY matters. Definitely the cricketers are not playing due to their love for their country, but due to their love for money. And it's a fact with all or us (there may be exceptions). We all work for money - I will not work for anyone if I am not paid for my work. They do have the liberty to play for money..they are criticised because they make so much money...is it not because we are jealous of them??? Think,,

What the gentleman in Kapil Dev did not say
by Basant Bharati on Aug 17, 2011 10:53 AM  | Hide replies

Because of IPL,the stint gets too tiring and the players are exposed to injuries. The current National players of all the forms of cricket should not play in IPL.

IPL should be outside BCCI.IPL should not have replaced ICL.This form of the game is for the players who have retired from National team and the youngsters who are yet to enter National Teams.

Paaji is not a politician and hence not said the above thing. Otherwise his statements are more sensible. Everyone including the Captain is playing for himself. And Dhoni has his own favourites.Once the team is selected, the Captain should use every player without fear or favour.

he is a straight talking bloke , click 'next' to read the full interview...he's so straight forward tht it surprises me if his interview is even legal lolol

"Everybody goes ga ga about Sachin Tendulkar that 'I learn from him and so on'. If you ask Virender Sehwag who is your guru, he will say Sachin. If you ask Yuvraj, he will say Sachin. But I have never seen Sehwag or Sachin or Laxman, with their bundle of experience in batting, walking up to the bowlers to advise them the correct line to bowl."

I think Kapil do not watch the match live, he sees the highlights or some clippings from News Channels and talking. Saching always go to the bowler from mid on/off position and talk to the bowler and encourage. I cannot make what does he talk but certainly not about the new releases in bollywood

Paaji, the team is least bothered about the results. The only thing which is in their minds is 'MONEY, MONEY AND MORE MONEY'. Most indian parents, know that there is a huge money at stake in cricket, they taunt their childrens with remarks too. Thus, see what we have today. It is only money game and nothing else. I am sure, it a CBI enquiry is initiated in BCCI, there would be bigger scam than the 2G,and other scams.

we did score 347 in the 3rd test in windies, but i get your point, other than that 300 plus score, there's nothing. and that was supposed to be our 2nd string side, so that is 'forgiven' i guess, we thought probably our first side would do much better, but they've done worse it turns out this series!

Seniors are themselves demotivated and low on confidence. Dhoni's field placings also contributed to this other point what kapil says, because if you keep your field spread and away you're gonna have noone to talk to your bowlers , no infielders to talk to the bowlers, noone, if everybodys'out and spread..
