it is better to lose 4-0 so that drastic measures can be thought of, we can select players on merit & form instead of past reputation. a classic example is harbhajan.

the only way this can be prevented is performance linked payment . Just stop paying these rascals & you will find the result. If they want to earn from IPL - that's fine . Then once someone decides to play for IPL & not for India , he should be banned for lifetime to play again for India. There should be no compromise with national prestige.
