What about the great Sehwag (KING PAIR), and other top order batsmen with great eyesight ?
How is your eyesight Dr.Haldankar ? Can you see ants f______ng ?

hIGH TIME FOR A CHANGE IN ALL RESPECT.OL'HORSES DO CLICK BEFORE CALLING IT QUITS,WHICH THEY DONT WANT FOR SAKE OF MONEY NOW NOT THE COUNTRY.
Poor diet no meat. The main reason india didnot, doesnot and will not have genuine fast bowler because reluctance of including red meat in their diet.Pakistan had Sarfaraj ,Imran, wasim, waqar,Shoib Akhtar and many many more.Similarly West indies had their deadly fasties And same is the case witj England and Aus.By eating Daal Chawal, parantha,Idli Or Sambar u cannot produce World Class Fast Bowlers U can only produce Venkatesh Prasad or Mohanty atmost

You both morons couldn't be more wrong. Veg or Non Veg has nothing to do with strength and agility. Its all about fitness, exercise and the conditions under which we all grow up. If you are born and brought up on FAST PITCHES where the pitches help the red ball swing and travel at high speeds, you are lucky. If you are born in India and even if you eat 10 kgs of meat everyday you won't be as lucky because here pitches are slow with very little bounce and carry.
It all depends on HARDWORK, DEDICATION, GOOD FOOD HABITS (infact Non Veg is considered bad for health because its DEAD BODIES of animals you mix with vegetables and eat ultimately.). Without masala or vegetables like onion or tomato Non Veg food would be tasteless and just red, blood filled meat - dead bodies of animals. Here also VEGETERIAN only helps bring the flavour. Vegetables can be eaten raw also and taste good, but Non Veg can never be eaten raw.
The ELEPHANT is the WORLD's most powerful land animal and it will crush your b___lls and trample you both Non Vegetarians easily. All that the elephant eats is GRASS and SUGARCANE and BANANAS and Veggies.
World's greatest Vegetarians
1) Carl Lewis (3 times Olympic Gold medallist)
2)Albert Einstein (Nobel Prize winner)
3) George Bernard Shaw (Only person in the world to win both OSCAR award and NOBEL prize).
4) Amitabh Bachchan (one of the greatest Bollywood stars alive)

Carl Lewis was not a veggie eater all time... he switched to that on 1990, and he decline started after 1991. Go Figure... It is very difficult endure on high performance sports alone on plant proteins....

Kapil Dev took more wickets than the bowlers you mentioned. He was genuinely fast. He took 430 plus wickets.
Anil Kumble took 600 plus wickets in his career. He was not a MEAT EATER like you said , neither was he as fast or anywhere near Sarfaraz Nawaz (Sarfaraz was one of the real greats who would shatter the batsmen's stumps to pieces with his speed).
Kumble just bowled using his SKILL and MIND , he used BRAIN more than BRAWN. Its important to be a thinking bowler and just running and bowling at 150 kmph won't get you 600 wickets or for that matter 800 wickets like the LEGENDARY MURALI (with his spin NOT swing).
Again MEAT or NO MEAT doesnt matter. Its what you do with the BALL given in your HAND.

are u allright ? what illogical examples are you giving ?what john abraham anil kumbleetc has to do with fast bowling kapil devwas medium fast .and pakistan has dead pitches like india but they produce the fiece fast bowlers the world have ever sern
Regionalism is rampant in selection of players to represent India in test cricket. Engineer was lucky to be playing when he did in the 60s and 70s when the west held sway over the cricketing scene. He would have never got a chance today. The scene today is that extremely talented players from western India are routinely overlooked, while players with dubious cricketing merit from the rest of India get selected.

Anna should now turn to BCCI and fight injustice against players from wetern region. ANNA FIGHT BCCI.
Re: Bharat Ratna to Sachin?
by venkatesh prabhu on Aug 18, 2011 07:50 AM
why he should be given bharath ratna. As a team he could reach record not as individual. there are other sports personal like viswanath anand etc who have made India pride by winning names. Sachin is only a player as a team not as a individual. No cricketer should be given any awards. they have been well paid in form of cash and advertisement.
Lots of money would now change hands for: 1. Making India win the next test and shut peoples mouth. 2. To ensure that England lets Sachin (the God) reach his 100th ton milestone.
Re: Money

very decently sachin should retire instead of trying to make records and India losing matches because of him. Enough opportunity is given to him.

you seems to know a lot of things about match fixing..there is also a possibility that England won the series because of match fixing..
What can Duncan do immediately in 3 months especially when we all know how the red tapism works within BCCI.
BCCI is to be faulted - No:1 Status in Test Cricket is no small acheivement and to keep it with us, our focus should be on preparation for Windies and England series not playing IPL.
Look at what happened - almost all of them were tired and some were unfit for such a crucial series against england where we were fighting to stay No:1
The only guy who inspite of playing IPL scored runs was Dravid. He failed in 2 tests against England and we were exposed completely.
Can u imagine any other No:1 Test team which has stayed there 2 years fumbling so badly in a series and lose the spot?
The only good news is England were on their way to crowing glory beating Aussies in Australia and drawing in South Africa.
But the preparation and the interest BCCI, our Players have show is pathetic.
Ad Money and IPL money beats everything and these players get jaded/tired/unfit for Test games.

just gave up what? their pride, billions of cricket fans ego! everything gave up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Farooq Engineer was one of the best Wicket keeper India has ever produced in addition he was a good Opening Batsman. If BCCI had accepted his ofer I think M.S.Dhooni could have benefitted more because I think does not know ABC of wicket keeping in front of Farooq Engineer. I hve seen him behind the wickets and even batting. He was a great hitter of the ball during his time. BST

Dhoni is a good wicket keeper, he don't need anyone's suggestion or help to keep wickets!!!!!!!!!

farook engineer was one of Indias best w/k...? very doubtful..he was a good show man, even making easy catches look difficult...as for batting he used to flash at every ball, no foot work, just hit.happy go lucky type..some times he used to get out very easily slashing outside the offstump...he doesnt have the qualifications to advise the indian team..I have seen him many times.
Personally, I think that most Indians are disappointed not because we lost the series (also the number 1 ranking) but in the manner we lost it. There was no fight shown by the players on the field and they just looked to have given up right on the 1st test. It also added to the injury when you hear English former/present players gloating about this test-series victory as if they have just won the one-day cricket world cup.
In addition, this series loss is excellent for the media in India (more so than a victory) because the ongoing bashing from former/present Indian players will ensure a high rating. A true cricket lover, supports their team no matter what. Just look at the Bangladeshi team, their team is horrible yet their countrymen supports the team no matter what. Perhaps, we can learn few things from them. Khuda hafez.

Fair point, but how many of the Bang players have hero worships, multi million contracts? It just not the way we lost, it's just that team shows signs of improvement. In any series generally the visitors get used to the conditions and perform better but our team is just going in one direction. I just think players have given up easily.
