loss? u mean hammering
by anish pillai on Aug 16, 2011 05:31 PM

its not a series loss Mr captain thats the issue, its the manner of loss....190 odd runs, 340 runs and then an innings and 240 odd runs...batsmen unable to handle swing/seam and bounce, bowlers with no control/pace..captaincy lacking direction, captain not scoring/keeping properly...and now wait for the whitewash...

Like today team india
by pratik nidhi bhardwaj. on Aug 16, 2011 05:02 PM

Team Australia also faced same situation in indian tour, ashes series when they flopped in every dept. but Clarke and Sir ricky thomas ponitng try to improve their team standard in every dept.So give chance to dhoni and co. every team faced such worth performance.Team australia become no. 1 in both test and odi from 2001 to 2009 middle before ashes after few month india become no. 1 in test not odi.Mind it bresnen, anderson, broad give best performance in this tour after so much failiure.
Remember broad 20-20 world cup when yuvraj singh hit 6 sixes in his ball, anderson give 100 runs in his spell in world cup and bresnen and swann also flpped in netwest series 2009.So team india cricket lovers give support this team then must bounce back.No. 1 is not all in all.

The best moment
by Vikas Banga on Aug 16, 2011 04:07 PM

The best moment was when Dhoni hit straight and got Sachin run out. It was so hilarious.
I wish I could be with Dr. Suppandi at that moment.
It was so hilarious

'Shouldn't get critical of the fact that we have lost a series'
by raman govindan on Aug 16, 2011 03:46 PM  | Hide replies

it is not the loss of a a test series but the way they lost is ignonimous.

the team has not made any attempt to improve their perrformance except the two oldest cricketeers and it looks if they are least least responsible for the loss.

Lost is lost. This way or that way has no meaning.

This is strange..
by Raghunandan V on Aug 16, 2011 03:39 PM  | Hide replies

my list of main reasons..
1) injuries
2) fatigue
3) lack of match practise
4) new comers, who are yet to proove, not clicking..
and the biggest one..
5) Dhoni's tactics are not working..
this is strange and our guy seems to be less concerned about it... the losses themself are not a big deal.. loosing the series 3-0 or 3-1 is OK too.. but the way the losses have come sofar.. india not being able to bowlout england convincingly even once OR .. not being able to face the bowling convincingly even once .. and loses are by more than a innings we can say.. thats really worry some.. wake up mr dhoni.. spillout if there is any split or politics .. are not the boys responding to you?? is the new coach trying to interfere?

The tactics always work, when the plan assigned to each players executes as per the plan.

dhoni is an upstart...a lucky a... who never had any plan...it was the media and advertisers who saw a plan in every stupid thing that dhonbee did and created a cooool hype around him....now is coool dhoni winning matches

dhoni's tactics never worked because dhonee never had any tactic at all...it was one or the other player performing in the last 3 years...sehwag in tests, Gambhir in 2009, Kohli this year, Yuvraj Singh in world cup etc....That's why India won....not because of any captaincy...dhoni himself was the non-performer all along, quietly pocketing all glory heaped on him by a corrupt media for no reason at all...but this where Dhoni's luck ends as it should because he is useless and a non-performer after all

Whoever is saying that the players were tired and are playing too much cricket.. Let us get the facts clear.. Did Mukund, Dravid, Laksham, Ishant, Praveen play in the world cup ?? Did Zaheer, Sachin and others play in West Indies.. What tiredness are we talking about ??

The positive criticism is good, but there are other factors to be looked into for correct picture.
