A LIE called M S Dhoni
by rajkamal dubey on Aug 16, 2011 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni's so-called tactics never worked because honestly speaking, Dhonee never had any tactic at all...it was one or the other player performing in the last 3 years...Sehwag in tests, Gambhir in 2009, Kohli in ODI's this year, Raina sometime before that, Yuvraj Singh in world cup etc....That's why India won matches in the last few years.......And not because of any captaincy...captaincy is a big lie which has been perpetrated by the corrupt media...can you think beyond captaincy and count the no. of occassions when Dhoni's decision really made a difference?...if you look carefully, Dhoni had no contribution at all...Dhoni himself was the non-performer all along, quietly pocketing all glory heaped on him by a corrupt media for no reason at all...but this is where Dhoni's luck ends as it should because he is useless after all

Don't get carried away
by Sasanka Mahapatra on Aug 16, 2011 06:34 PM

Let us not get carried away by such performances. This team has performed excellently in the past year and a half, and there are always some bad times. England themselves have faced much worse times during the last 4-5 years. Wdn't surprise me if they don't hang on to the Test No. 1 mantle for very long.
If only the BCCI had sent the advance team to their country like they did for the South Africa series...not surprisingly they have avoided all blame for this...in fact one of their senior members had, less than a year back, stated that a good team doesn't need ANY practice match! Astonished how these people make it to the top w/o having played ANY level of cricket during their lives...!

Let them repeat this abroad!

Excellent stats - let us see them repeat these abroad. If India can be accused to be tigers at home, the same is also true for England...can someone post their overseas record please for comparison?

totally agreed....
to be a no.1 team one has to perform well away from home...
when australian team is no.1 they use to perform well away also except in india....
if england can beat sri lanka, india and south africa on there home soil then they definitely deserve no.1 position othervise not........

I agree BCCI should create circumstances to help Sachin score a c
by Proud Brahmin on Aug 16, 2011 06:27 PM  | Hide replies

I agree BCCI should create circumstances to help Sachin score a century in this tour , after all he is the greatest athlete in the history of the human kind on the planet earth who is also considering business ventures while he is on tour and that keeps him busy , but he should be allowed to do that as he is a Saraswat Brahmin being the favorite Shishya of goddess Saraswati.Imagine if Zaheer or Irfan had taken care of a business venture while on the tour , but yes we owe Sachin all these opportunities , be it tax free Ferrari or his ability to indulge in busines venture while on a official tour after all India is for the Brahmins , Of the Brahmins.

If Sachin in spite of being given given special circumstances by using BCCI influence (like pressurizing umpires to never give Sachin LBW etc and having Shastri on the commentators box who would be extolling the god of Indian cricket all along ) we should ask Newzealand to tour India in hot summer so that Sachin ca score a century in a small stadium in tier II city in India. I hope I speak for all devotees of Sachin the god of Indian cricket and keep quiet Geoffrey Boycott and we love you Tony Greig and ofcourse Ravi Shastri.

I think the writer is having some personal enimity with Sachin. there is no need to explain or advise when and how sSachin will make his next century.

I totally agree .. otherwise no one should comment like this about sachin , who has not scored 99 centuries with the help of BCCI.. utter crap.. If you don't have knowledge of cricket at least keep quite and if at all you have to speak.. please consider the fact that you are speaking about the SACHIN

yes buddy,
they had decent series but i'm not sure about dravid coz i know he's the only scorer batsman in our team right now but his drop catches cost us dearly....
but yes PK is the only fighter in team, i'm highly impress wid his attitude in batting and bowling. he's fighting spirit is simply awesome....

Yes friend, I agree with you, I myself have criticized Dravid's dropped catches ever since he dropped that one of Trott in the first Test off bhajji's first ball in the match at lord's. And, his dropped catches in edgbaston were really very easy, too bad he dropped them.

Yes, PK is a fighter, it is very evident from his body language, and he's serious about his performance and prepared to bowl long spells. In tests, you are really tested, he is up for the challenge

yes buddy i conveniently forgot about others coz no one is blaming others, why always criticise sachin.......
in 2003 world cup sachin is highest scorer wid 678 runs when he fails in final for 5 runs everybody blame him he failed in much needed match but does anyone realise who take india to the final....
in 2009 a match against australia india chasing 350 runs sachin make 175 runs and when he got out we needed 18 runs in 18 balls wid 4 wicket in hand still we lost....

vasant ware all the criticism sachin is getting is overdue for a long time. for 20 yrs. he was stealing the credits of his team mates. comeuppance was going to come some day...

sachin is getting it back what he did to his 10 team members. they also play as hard and as passionately and want india to win as much as sachin. but unfortunately fans like you completely ignored other playeres contributions and gave all their credit to sachin. naturally all that sachin stole (though of course he is not be blamed, since he himself never did it his blind fans did it on their own without telling him or asking for his permission)

vasant we have won many important matches and tournaments without sachin. one sachin does not make too much difference. when he fails in finals you people claim that we would not have reached finals without him. when he does not do too much in league matches and does it in finals then u say that final is more important so what if he failed in previous matches finals win is more important...it happens all the time...

let me point it to you vasant that 175 innings of his is an example of his failure NOT his success. he knew only 3 wkts. were left and about 20 runs to get in 3 overs. he should have stayed there and finished the match. he did not do that.

sachin nearly always makes his runs in easy conditions and fails in tough conditions and if ever he does play at such times he crumbles down exhaused before taking india past the finishing line...

vasant ware, for 20 yrs. sachin was credited 100% for india's wins and other 10 players blamed 100 % for india's losses by over enthusiastic fans like you.

when india won other 10 players were given 0% credit and when india lost sachin was given 0 % blame.

Vasant, this day was going to come sooner or later....

if fans like you had not done this for 2 decades and given everybody their due credit (and not given sachin undue credit) this day would not have come...

vasant i have said it many times here and will say it again. I am NOT sachin hater...yes, i AM blind sachin fanatics hater...you blind sachin fanatics have said so many things about sachin...but i am sorry to say sachin himself does not agree with you and he himself is ashamed of his blind fanatics who attribute any things to him which are not true and abuse the other 10 players calling them many names (which again sachin does not agree with)

yes vasant his getting out at 175 when the win was so near is his FAILURE not success. if it was somebody other in his place like dhoni, yuvi or raina rest assured they would not have got out and carried india towards win. simply scoring well in crisis situations is not important (which sachin rarely does anyway) he once again showed that he cant finish off the things that he started.

vasant if we create the same scenario with dhoni or yuvi or raina 7 or 8 times out 0f 10 they will carry india to victory. if we put sachin in the same scenario sachin will do the same thing and 7 or 8 times out of 10 will again get out on 175...that's the difference between him and other players...

UNDOUBTEDLY I'M SACHIN'S HUGE FAN....
BUT I'M NOT TAKING ANYTHING AWAY FROM OTHER MEMBERS....
I LIKE CRICKET SO MUCH AND APPRECIATE WHOEVER PLAYS BEST LIKE BROAD IN CURRENT SERIES....
I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THAT U R DIE HARD SACHIN HATER, SO BE IT....
AND YES WHEN HE MAKE THOSE 175 RUNS THEY HAS NO VALUE AT ALL, HE SHOULD HAVE BAT TILL LAST OVER JUST LIKE OTHER TEAMS OPENER DO RIGHT ??
