what a bad comment by warnie,
he must hav forgot late 90's australian team use to win tests at home as well as away (except in india)....
this english team can only win tests on pitches favourable to their swing bowlers....
i bet they can't win test series in south africa, shri lanka, india and pakistan....

this guy warne has nothing to do now. He lives in london to please his new girlfriend. so he has to say something good about them. We all know england, they win one series or match and they think they are the best in the world. Just ask this english team to visit india once. We will smack them to pieces. And also, england players are cowards and take it too easy. They have never been consistent. The ashes they talk about. Look at the aussie team. No mcgrath, warne, gilchrist, hayden, gillespie, damien martyn, langer. Just watch in the next three four months they will throw matches. This is the same team that was all out for 54 against the west indies. Yes against the west indies.

yesh warnie whatever keeps your girlfriend happy. Eng can become like aussies if they learn to play spin better. At home everybody looks great esp if your opponents are ridden with injuries and havent adjusted to conditions. Only when you travel and do it elsewhere do we know.

english pommes will be blasted in Abudabi by Pakistani Fast Bowlers, then in Srilanka by Mendis & Co, then We Indians will soften them. I can't wait anymore. pommes will loose all the next series. pommes can play better only in england. pommes su_cks in sub-continent. Make all spin friendly pitches which suits our Spinners.

keep dreaming some people cannot just accept that the better team beat the so called No1 team (that was hyped by indian media as the best team in tests incorrectly) fair and square

you keep dreaming wannabe boy. Eng cannot play spin. So they are not No 1 either unless you think playing pace alone is the criteria. Get over your servitude.

England has beaten a ragged and tired Indian side to become no.1. Let them beat other teams in their own countries like the Aussies used to do consistantly to be the no.1. After this series they will be playing only ODIs in India and play Test cricket only in 2012 March in Sri Lanka. Let us see what happens then.

typical indian excuses.
Flower and Strauss took the team which was no.6 in march 2009 when they lost their first test series in WI and in 2 years have taken them to No1.
congrats England

Well, yes agreed England is a very good side but cannot compare them to the great Aussie side of the late 90s.. this English team has not even acheive half of what Aussie team acheived. A long way to go..Mcgrath, Warnie, Steve Waugh, Mathew Hayden, Gilly, Gillespie, Ponting... well the list and the shoes are just too big for anyone for fill as of now.

when was the last time england beat india in india or sri lanka in sri lanka. Truth is they have never won anything in india for the last 26 years. idiot stop praising a self hyped team. just ask this team to visit india now and u will see these white chicks falling like nine pins.

England won 3 and a half days of Chennai test in 2008 only Sehwag demolition of Harmison was the reason India chases 387 .
In all past 3 series in India England competed well in India.
Kumble pointed to this fact in his analysis.
1-1 in 2006
1-0 in 2008 were the results

didn't england lose 5-0 and 3-0 recently.. wat are their wc achievements.. aus were on top for 15 yrs.. eng is going over the top by beating a dead beat team.. if india arrived fresh.. things would be far different

It's not IPL cricket, but the money coming from IPL.

Some of the players ha slept in to living leisures life and forgotton their primary job.

Fitness, practise and desire to perform at the highest level doesn't exist anymore..

England may have just taken the place of No.1 in Test Cricket, but India is still the World Champions in One Cricket (and they will remain so for next 4 years). Don't tell that it was won on own soil, blah, blah. Australia got defeated badly in world cup when they played at home and today's so-called No.1 Team England got maximum opportunities to host world cup, but what did they achieve? Just shut the asss and wait. To please yourself, you can call England as No.1 in Test Cricket, but definitely not in One Day cricket (even if they win the current ODI series against India. They looked stupids at Sub-Continent against Bangladesh, Ireland and Srilanka. They may also struggle on South Africa and Australia where ball doesn't move much in the air)
