world cup

i think if someone had asked indian fans if they would like to win world cup or england series...we would have picked world cup...so relax we are world champions for fou years...wins and losses are part and parcel of sports...you will very quickly forget this loos as soon as next series starts...

Worst peformance
by Krishnakumar Narayanan on Aug 14, 2011 11:40 PM

This is the worst Indian performance I have seen after i start following cricket. On similar pitches even Bangla and Zimbabwe are going to be beyond current Indian team's reach.

these are not dead flat tracks of india, india has never won a te

these are not dead flat tracks of india, india has never won a test series in Australia and South Africa...India should only play in india because that's the only place where they win or at the most just stay inside Asia otherwise they will keep on getting thrashed like the way they are in England...no one would be surprised if Cook scores another 294 in Ovals as well...just take this team back to india and eat bryani over there...give bharat ratna to tendi-noodle and ask him to retire and concentrate on the business venture that he was handling while on the England tou after all Indian is of the Brahmins and for the Brahmins.

sreesanth

sreesanth, munaf and some medium pacers surfaced from 1.3 billions population are the real agony of team India along with the aged batters like sachin, dravid, laxman. disappointed with raina and yuvaraj, they can't play bouncers, a hard reality. induce some young guns and bowlers. Select Irfan Pathan

good comments, ruined by going back to Irfan Pathan.

Have you seen Irfan of late? He bowls in 120 now and still erratic as Srisanth..

What's wrong with that kid, Abhimanu, who played in WI? He is young but bowled well consistently in high 130kph rage.

There are many good emerging bowlers in India, denied chance becuase the back up plan for BCCI and many is to fall back on Irfans and RPs...

Nothing can b done with the current lot.Select a good bowling coach ( Asif ?) and specialist batting coach like Sunil or Ganguli.Let them groom the younger lot, season them with some international exposure and you will have a team with some spine.

and how about the Batting?
by Ram Shyam on Aug 14, 2011 08:15 PM  | Hide replies

In my opinion, Batting is the biggest reason why we lost.

If the batters have put up five hundre plus score, Bowlers could have done much better.. Bowlers didn't have any cushion to work with.

I am not defending bowlers as they were not that great but batting was the worst..

Totally agree. Bowlers did perform sometimes but batsmen never performed.
