srikanth and Indian team

regretable to note that some of the writers have mentioned Srikanth as a pro-tamilian. comments should not be made on regional or caste or creed basis. if u look at the history of crickets for years Indian team consisted only players from bombay and very few players from other States represented India. Donot blame the selector on these grounds. U select a team only on the basis of perfomance in a test or other recognised tournaments. There r limitations for selection of players in the sense that u can select maximum 15 players for representing the nation. I do agree that Indian team doesnt have penetrating bowlers like the formere west indians (marshal holding garner or roberts) and bowlers like kapil dev. praisinf a captain for his victory and criticising him to the core when he looses the series is not a good sign . No doubt the performance of the Indian team in english soil was poor and dismal. What we need is to have a close inrospection for the cause of defeat and find out means to improve our game and image so that we may puit up a better show in the coming tours. Ofcourse selectors should also think where our team went wrong and rectify their mistakes by selecting a good squad. Best of lucks to the Indian team in future competitions. Players who do not score more than 50 runs in a match should be punished by reducing their allowances or salary what ever they receive

He cares only for CSK...thats all.
For whole BCCI MOney is more important than cricket....ask this looser who selected unfit players? why they didn't selected any younger player. Don't forget Azharudin debuted during england tour scored three centuries on maiden matches. Same was the case with Dravid & Ganguly who started their career during england tour by scoring centuries. All useless fellows like srikanth should be smacked

Srikanth created this whole mess by selecting his pets all times
by sreenivasulu reddy on Aug 17, 2011 01:27 AM  | Hide replies

Srikanth created this whole mess by selecting players from Tamil Nadu and Chennai IPL teams. He kept on selecting players like Dinesh Karthik, Vijay Murali, Badrinath and Abhinav Mukund eventhough each one of them failed miserably. Even the selection criteria is a big joke. To accomadate Tamil Nadu players, he selects the team sometime using IPL performance and sometimes using Zonal cricket.Typical Tamil Logic to select Tamil Nadu Players.
This is just to accomadate more Tamil Players. Also he selected Ashwin even when not required and delegated him to Bench all the time. He was bench for nearly 30 Plus ODI matches.

He didn;t give any opportunities in tests to players like Pujara, Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Dhawan, A Rayudu, Rao or M Pandey. Not even a single chance.Pujara played very well and instrumental in winning against Aus and after that he was dropped citing injuries. Tendulkar likes Rayudu a lot and that will the potential of Rayudu. But Rayudu didn;t got any chances not in tests and not in ODIs.
But look at Diensh karthik. He played 23 tests and close to 50 ODIS even after miseable failures. The whole investment was waste. Same with Vijay Murali, Badri and Mukund.
Because of Srikanth, there are no backup players.
