Ganguly's comments
by Kattar Bhashi on Aug 13, 2011 08:59 PM

It looked though Saurav was playing safe with his criticism of Indian cricket team's poor performance, his straight talk and assessment of his fellow team members a few years ago has been spot on. I think he is shaping up to be a good commentator. Ganguly, you rock dear!

Eleven players cannot equal one player ?
by nag on Aug 13, 2011 08:34 PM  | Hide replies

Ok - So we have eleven Indian players, playing twice and both the times cannot even equal the score of just 1 player from England ? And we all say that "THIS INDIA TEAM WAS #1 ?" -- Definitely something is wrong with the Ranking Algorithm. Ideally India, West Indies, Bangladesh, Pakistan should be ranked together from the bottom.

MILON SANYAL
INDIA DESERVED TO BE DOWN GRADED IN TEST RANKING
by MILON SANYAL on Aug 13, 2011 08:10 PM

It seems disappointing but NO,this is what was written on the wall couple of months back when Team India (most of them )were playing for IPL.From the aggression, confidence, skills, showmanship and dedication on the field for IPL,it showed that Team India (most of them )were playing for money, glory, fame and what not...It was known that time, the down fall was a question of time only.It is high time that BCCI should STOP the "nonsense" of IPL,where even "cheer girls" get more salary that many executives in the corporate world.Criterion should be imposed that IPL is ONLY for "development" of new talents & finds for the nation and NOT a show case to the world of entertainment. For that let cricketers who opt can go to Bollywood/Tollywoods and other woods. Enough is enough.Who is responsible for fatigue, excesssive cricket, injuries and consider playing for the country as a subroutine affair.
It's time for the policy makers and persons who matters to sit back & think about future of Indian cricket.
Thx..

Wow Dhobiji
by P O on Aug 13, 2011 08:07 PM

This is what Dhobiji had to say today after the loss:
"When you play for India there is a lot of expectation and people expect us to win everything but that's not possible. Being No. 1 or not being No. 1 is not important, it's all about being consistent".

Well, he proved that his team is very consistent in this series....... I am at a loss of words. Losing to a good team is OK, but losing so badly is NOT what a good team does. But is this consistency what Dhoni boasts of?

Mahendra Singh has become Digvijay Singh!!

Now, our people should understand the importance of Gary Kirsten..... Throw this dunkin doughnut fletcher out!

Not a sudden decline as it seems
by Ramakrishnan S on Aug 13, 2011 08:06 PM

The signs were there and the fall is not as sudden as it seems. We won the close Aus series at home due to some brilliant individual performance with bat by laxman and Pujara. In the NZ series too bajji bailed us out on couple of occasions. We would have been in great trouble but for those knocks. In WI also we were not commanding with bat and were scraping through. Now against the quality opposition, our weaknesses are exposed

Happy Friday
Atleast make it 3-1
by Happy Friday on Aug 13, 2011 08:05 PM

I think we should reduce playing home and continue playing in fast pitches! Its humiliating to see India at 3-0
