I Stand by Dhoni.
by d k on Aug 17, 2011 11:02 PM

Dhoni is right. We aretotally impulsive. Rather than supporting the team every one damning the team. Did not the English sides in past had series of defeats. Win or loose is a part and parsal of any game. the same people who were not tiered os singing praise that of a captain who never lost aseries are after his blood when the team has still to play seven more matches in England.
It is time for introspection by money minded BOARD and selectersD Kumar. Did you send a fit and fress team when they had to play England in England. It is prudent to stand by the team in cricis and learn a lesson for future. The same Indian team will bounce back.

Kumble
by raja sekar on Aug 16, 2011 10:28 PM

Kumble r u blind enough to see the potential of Mukund,Vijay,Badri,Karthik since they r from TN.
The players whom you have mentioned are weak against moving ball except Gambhir.
Have you forgotten Jaffer & karthik done well in last england tour. What about Pujara.
I think as Dhoni replaced you as Captain in an unceremonious way you want him to further embrassingly.Thats why you are recommending the useless batsmen.
You r a cunning ba----d.

Srikanth created this whole mess. Too many Tamil players..No use
by sreenivasulu reddy on Aug 16, 2011 03:27 AM  | Hide replies

Srikanth created this whole mess by selecting players from Tamil Nadu and Chennai IPL teams. He kept on selecting players like Dinesh Karthik, Vijay Murali, Badrinath and Abhinav Mukund eventhough each one of them failed miserably. Even the selection criteria is a big joke. To accomadate Tamil Nadu players, he selects the team sometime using IPL performance and sometimes using Zonal cricket.Typical Tamil Logic to select Tamil Nadu Players.
This is just to accomadate more Tamil Players. Also he selected Ashwin even when not required and delegated him to Bench all the time. He was bench for nearly 30 Plus ODI matches.

He didn;t give any opportunities in tests to players like Pujara, Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Dhawan, A Rayudu, Rao or M Pandey. Not even a single chance.Pujara played very well and instrumental in winning against Aus and after that he was dropped citing injuries. Tendulkar likes Rayudu a lot and that will the potential of Rayudu. But Rayudu didn;t got any chances not in tests and not in ODIs.
But look at Diensh karthik. He played 23 tests and close to 50 ODIS even after miseable failures. The whole investment was waste. Same with Vijay Murali, Badri and Mukund.
Because of Srikanth, there are no backup players.

this is india's genueine problem. Luckily andhra does not have much rising cricketing stars besides very few old stars. Don't try to regionalise the issue like telungana. all the best

Who are the Axperts?
by SUBROTO RAY on Aug 15, 2011 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

Don't listen to Ganguly. He is a big fake. He says he has not seen a team like this for the last ten years. Obviously referring to the period when India played under him that it was much better. Do we have to remind him about the New Zealand tour during his tenure when india was humiliated trounced in both test and one day series. And has he ever been able to take India to the No 1 position?? Also Ganguly uncle stop borrowing others ideas and words. The last sentence were the words of English Commentator Naseer Hossain. Show some originality somewhere and try to change that age old habit of faking, stealing, borrowing and taking credit at others expense. Small wonder for getting kicked out when all your contemporaries are still going strong.

Well, India will repeat that feat in England. They are on course to lose the Test series 0-4 and one dayers 0-5.
It is a fact that Indian players are more focussed on IPL than the English tour. All players have their own agendas in U.K - winning for India is not one of them.
And do not listen to Srikanth also.He refuses to accept that India has woeful bowling strength. Unless India believes in rewarding promising young fast bowlers by way of preparation of pitches and match fees, this sorry spectacle will continue.
Indian pitches are made for mediocre batsmen with a good eye - hand coordination to amass runs and thrill the crowd - just like the stunt scenes in Bollywood films.Technique is thrown out of the window.
It is a good wakeup call for India. But everyone will forget this episode when master blaster completes his 100th century on Indian soil against Zimbabwe or Bangladesh.
That tells the story of Indian cricket and the audience.

remember the match where india were asked to follow on in 2nd test after losing first test....

sachin as usual got out in a crisis situation...dravid and laxman made 376 in a day without getting separated...the opponents were australia supposedly ''no.1 cricket team'' of that time...and a test where aus should have been ahead 2-0 after 2 tests the result was 1-2 loss for australia after 3 tests...

what a show from no. 1 team of the world...ha ha ha...

they are better than yr sree/ishant. i mention its future means once sachin/laxman/dravid retires. once this three gone then this is best team. they are better than yr raina who is with team almost 5-6 years but does not know how to keep bat on hand.

pl. replace sehwag, Gambhir also. we have to follow the strategy of three world class spin bowlers with Leg & off spin combination with close fielding set up. Two seamers enough. we live our spin Bowling. Don't forget to promote Ambati Rayudu, Manoj Tiwary, Sourabh Tiwaey,Rahane etc.they seems very good Player. Sachin others Pl. retire before last test.Pl. yaar for the sake of the country.

History repeats. In 1983 we won the World Cup. India West Indies Test series followed. We were thrashed by Malcolm Denzil Marshall Law.(Marshall Law declared in Kanpur- that was the caption of a National daily at that time) The only soothing thing was Gavaskar broke Don's Record of centuries(In Chennai) And now!!! The English are grinding us to paste! And this time also another bowler. Broad. We are yet to learn how to play Fast bowling!!!!!!
