This may be Cook's highest score; but in one aspect he has a lot of company among other batsmen, past and present.
Most leading batsmen over the years have registered their highest scores against India. Probably, most teams would also have their highest ever Test innings scores against India. The highest ever team total in a Test innings (made by SL) is against India, the highest partnership for any wicket, and so on.

Is scoring on seaming, moving, bouncing conditions of Australia, England, South Africa is only called achievement? Do you (and all the experts of England like Boycott) think playing on India and sub-continent is considered as inferior? Don't we see any results at all in Test Matches played on India? Isn't it a skill to play against spinners on turning tracks?
Just because the team has lost in the current series, is it fair to call them as Bangladesh or other inferior terms? Didn't this team do well against South Africa, Australia?

Ha ha ha talking about results... In England, we have seen maximum draws... Just that we are seeing results of late... As England now have a good attack and they are clicking as a unit (batting also strong), they are preparing sportive pitches. In the past, England used to get scared and used to prepare flat tracks for visitors so that they could draw the test matches. (Check the records)
They are speaking so high now!
I'm not talking about the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s where England dominated test cricket, because they were the inventors of the game.
Talking about 10 to 20 years.
And this team talk so high about themselves. Especially that Boycott is a cheap guy! Always criticized India, never spoke a word when India did well.
