The danger is not that India has lost no.1 position but that it might slide even further down unless BCCI takes corrective action promptly.First, too much dependence on Zaheer is to be done with and alternatives are to be found.Even in the spin deptt. suitable grooming of youngsters like Aswin,Rahul sharma etc. should be started.Second,on the batting side retire Sachin forthwith both from Tests as well as from One dayers because he is proving to be too much of a distraction and obstacle for any meaningful succession planning of youngsters.His poor performance is affecting team morale severely.Retire the remaing two ,that is Dravid and Laxman within the next one year and groom youngsters like Kohli,Rohit,Pujara etc.for the longer version.Attempt a new settled Test side of 15 players within the next two yrs.Don't even think of continuing Dravid for one dayers any longer.Play and nurture a settled eleven at least for one dayers right from this very moment w/o any of the three 'oldies'.

they will spoil their future. the gangs in team and selectors are strong. can ruin any young player. it is not like angrez or aussie system to induce players gradually and make them better. look at what they did to rohit, RP, etc. foreign coach is called if the gangs cannot ruin things directly.

Ghoras showing on TV how DRS(ball tracking and hotspot and snickometer) would have saved Dravid caught decision and ishant LBW.
If dravid would have asked for DRS, they would have fudged him out. Since he did not ask they showed how DRS would have saved him. BOTH WAY ANGREZ CAN nail, be it manual or automatic.
Instead, Opposing cricket team better have better HD camera replays with 4th umpire watching the replay (from cameras of both teams) to give field umpire the feedback before he gives final decision.
