Mr. David lloyd let us see how ur England team fairs at top.The short era of Flintoff & Harmison made u'll believe that u'll are world no1 but u'll were no ver close.Stuart broad has jst hit a purple patch he was a not even close to a threat against Srilanka.Jimmy anderson to is a Tiger at home. he dosnot move the ball n inch in the subcontinent. Let me see how u'll defend your worldNo 1 tag.Your comments jst prove that u'll nva liked India being on top.Describing Dhonis achievemt as just lucky is foolish, Luck favours the brave. Dhoni has won all the big tournaments goin around. Its his first series loss as a captain.Guyzz its vry easy to critisize..yes its true that the loss was humiliating...but we need to support our team..Dhoni & his team will be back...!!!
The Indian team played childish, silly cricket (epitomized by Sehwag's second innings dismissal) almost throughout the series except for a few bright spots. Records and rankings apart, in the last 10 years, this kind of uncompetitive, schoolboy cricket at the highest level has been seen only from Zimbabwe, B'desh and sometimes WI. Makes one wonder if withdrawing India's test playing status wouldn't be a good medicine for the ailing sport? This is of course, a pipe dream, since ICC is nothing but a parasite living off BCCI's ill-gotten wealth.
"I am a common cricket fan that you see every other day.
After the finals in WC 2003, my soul was buried in depths of betrayal of 11 men who coundnt make in count on the day of reckoning. With passage of time, I understood and learnt to forget that match.
My soul was revived on April 2nd, 2011 WC Finals and i could now feel an inch taller after 8 wretched years.
How was all this possible, I ask Team India? Yes, you had new facilities, new methods, new ideas, newer implementation techniques. And yes, you also had old fans like us.
We supported you, we adulated you and we stood for you (maybe, also let you down at times). Whenever you guys played, we scored lesser marks at exams, we were late for job interviews, we missed project deadlines, we forgot to feed the children, we turned sleepless, we made office workstations into cricket browsers, we starved so that you could score an hundred. You are now world champions and you do owe us, common cricket fans, for where we believed you would, one day, stand. As Indians, you guys should never stop dreaming, never stop believing. Please never forget that even if you've undergone staleness in your cricket in the England tour of 2011. Never stop trying, never stop believing.
