I appreciate the Indian Team
by Orient Mystique on Aug 13, 2011 05:16 PM

For the non violent way in which they have chosen to tell BCCI that too much cricket is not doing any good to the players or to BCCI.

But only the diehard optimist can expect BCCI to take any lesson.

Sehwag doubts
by Jay on Aug 13, 2011 10:05 AM  | Hide replies

There has been a new update from the Indian team that Sehwag could miss out on the 4th test starting at the Oval next week. He has complained of some niggle on his shoulder and felt discomfort while 'BATTING' ?!!! hahaha that's really hilarious because if I know my elementary school math properly, he existed for a total of 2 deliveries in each innings with a maximum 'SCORE' of ZERO. How can he complain of s niggle ? somebody please expand on that.

Also he might be a doubt for the ODI series and could fly back to Delhi. WOW ! whose tax payer rupees is he eating ?!! I can't believe Indians idolize these pathetic morons who call themselves sports persons !! I guess he wants to get fit before the next IPL, oh well.

No.1 was all media hype actually they were No.1 only on paper because other teams slid down and the statistics made them 1.

Root cause analysis
by Basant Bharati on Aug 13, 2011 07:58 AM

For all failures, Dhoni blames hectic schedules. Who is responsible?
1. Every player wants to play in all the 3 forms of cricket for the country. and IPL too. Selection board nods, BCCI nods.

2. Have you seen any one wanting to sit out of IPL? Money, Money ,Money.
Some like Sachin sit out of the games crucial for the country’s record in order just to prolong the career to enhance personal records. Selection board nods, BCCI nods.

3. Injuries galore because of hectic schedules. Have you seen any one
voluntarily declaring unfit before the start of a series? The injury worsens and the crucial player walks out from the middle of a series.

THE ROOT CAUSE
Same management persons in BCCI, in IPL and ICC too. Same pals of D Gang. Same money monger in Politics and Sports too.
ICL was a private, parallel league for the game. Money Money Money attracted the jealous BCCI. IPL swallowed ICL.
OK, Money is the great motivator. Forgive the Managements.

Why not monitor selections to have feasible schedules with apt fitness of players?

Why not respect the country’s records in the official Tests ,ODIs and T20s?

Why not restrict IPL for retired players and young budding players and keep out the current national players? Why not make 35 plusses, even if he is Sachin, to stick to either this or that?

Where is our Bharath Rathna?
by siva kumar on Aug 13, 2011 07:53 AM  | Hide replies

The constitution was to be amended to give Bharath Rathna to our Master Blaster or Little Master.
He went to England in advance of the team to practice and get familiar with English conditions. But he is not to be seen there.
It seems he has to wait for a Bangladesh Tour of Zimbabwe Tour to get his 100th 100...

this little master is a loser,he shook hands with federer prior to the latter's match with tsonga in wimbledon 2011, & poor federer lost the match,to a player whom he had previously beaten 11 times earlier. sachin, as per harbhajan, recently showed him how to bowl the "slider", the net result is harbhajan got 2 wkts in england @ an average of 287 runs apiece.that is sachin a loser. by giving bharat ratna if he retires after that,it will be a blessing in disguise.

headway with spin
by D S on Aug 13, 2011 07:37 AM  | Hide replies

angrez domination game in batting and bowling,

Angrez have been very successful in their frustration tactics against indian batting
and bowling as well their domination tactics.

Now when india made headway with spin, ANGREZ got swann and Peitersen to compete and dominate
in that area right away with an very aggressive fielding setup.
Angrez already have leeched out what Panesar can offer into Swann and that is the reason spinner of level Harbhajan were no success and only helped to increase confidence of Angrez.
THIS MEANS INDIA SHOULD have had 2 spinners of Pragyan and Rahul order in the attack.

Batting wise, Sehwag should have been sent down the order until this horse is ready to run as it used to. Dravid going up the order until sehwag is ready. that was wrong planning and it did not happen.
Needs to have players like Rohit and kohli on the nets and padded up to play in the 11, allowing tendulkar into 3rd test to complete
records was not wise. tendulkar also made mistake in letting BCCI agree on partial DRS under media pressure.

Players like Dravid would have not dropped so many catches if there was proper Program to make India
a number 1 team that included fitness, this could be avoided. But there is politics in dropping catch as well.
have a 12th men for dravid on field.

And R P singh needs to be there on the nets as well and was supposed to be there for 3rd test.

chellapan,

Re: Re: Re: Sreeshant - should never be taken into squad

sreeshantt is the reason dravid is dropping catches so the rest dont get wickets. ofcourse, that has frustrated indian bowlers on top of frustration built by angrez batting.
