by Injun Abhi on Aug 12, 2011 10:08 PM

He needs to be dropped. He is still short of century by 8 runs, and he already bowled 39 overs. Too Slow!!!

Sachin - Big hundred
by prasheen mothukuri on Aug 12, 2011 10:02 PM  | Hide replies

If Sachin does not score a big hundred in second innings, then everyone one should voice on his retirment to cricket fraternity in india. He does not deserve a place in India if he cannot play a stelllar innings especially other batsmen scoring a lot of big hundreds compared to him in recent years. Cook,Dilshan,Mahela,Sangakarra,Kallis etc

Obviously everyone is waiting for Sachin to chip in this time after failing 4 times on the trot...well 3 times..he scored 54 last time...but the big question is whether saving this test is big or Sachin's hundred hundreds ..?

Ishant,Sreeshant- One dimensional
by prasheen mothukuri on Aug 12, 2011 09:57 PM

Ishant and Sreeshat are bowling so worst. It looks like they did not care to watch the videos of english bowling. Ishant always bowls one dimensionally, all incoming or short bowling on the off. Nothing more than that. No swing, no incutters,no outcutters,no bounce, no seam, no pace,no outswing. Pathetic and brainless bowler.

Coming to Sreeshant, more than his bowling his irritating facial expressions is more seen. Always bowls overpitched, short, wayward etc. Pathetic bowler.

No discpline at all with these bowlers. They need to learn disciplined bowling from Praveen,Munaf.

Cook is not a team player
by Injun Abhi on Aug 12, 2011 07:19 PM  | Hide replies

He should give others a chance to bat as well. Poor Ravi Bhopara can't bat and his place in the team is questionable now. Thans to Cook for hogging the batting.

Saurabh Tiwary [ Images ], Ajinkya Rahane [ Images ] and Ashok Menaria scored centuries as India [ Images ] got into a good position to register an innings victory over Australian Institute of Sports in the concluding three-day encounter of the Emerging Players Meet, at Endeavour [ Images ] Park, Townsville.

After dismissing AIS for 205, almost all the top-order Indian batsmen made substantial contributions as the visitors scored 534, gaining an overall lead of 329 runs.

AIS, in their second essay, were 93 for 2, requiring 236 runs to avoid an innings defeat.

After the two overnight batsmen Rahane (100) and Menaria (112) attained their individual milestones, Tiwary took over, sending the AIS bowlers on a leather hunt. He plundered 151 runs from 148 balls, inclusive of 14 boundaries and seven sixes.

Manoj Tiwary, another in-form batsman, also smashed a quickfire 59, which was inclusive of four boundaries and five sixes.

Young Manish Pandey [ Images ], who wasn't in good form, also joined the party, scoring 66 off 50 balls, inclusive of two fours and half-a-dozen sixes.

The worst sufferer was Australia [ Images ] Test discard Michael Beer, who conceded 115 runs in his 14-over spell.

Brief scores:

AIS 205 & 93/2 in 33 overs (Ryan Carters 56 batting, Glenn Maxwell 25 batting, Jaidev Unadkat 1/5).

India 534 in 109.5 overs (Saurabh Tiwary 151, Ashok Menaria 112, Ajinkya Rahane 100, Manish Pandey 66, Manoj Tiwary 59).
