Sachin
by Abhijit Nair on Aug 11, 2011 09:04 AM

Sachin scored tons of runs in last 2-3 years vs weak bowlers nad on Indian or SL pitches, except 2 100's in SA but now that he is up against world's best bowling attack and in England he has failed completely.
Only Dravid has the guts to fight it out vs top bowlers and English conditions.
Sunny,Harsha Ravi Saurav have their mouth sealed now and that is the best thing, so much Sachin chamchagiri has to end sometime

Indian cricket
by Basant Bharati on Aug 11, 2011 08:54 AM

Indian Cricket is like India under Congress Rule
For all failures, Dhoni blames hectic schedules. Who is responsible?
1. Every player wants to play in all the 3 forms of cricket for the country. and IPL too. Selection board nods, BCCI nods.
2. Have you seen any one wanting to sit out of IPL? Money, Money ,Money.
Some like Sachin sit out of the games crucial for the country’s record in order just to prolong the career to enhance personal records. Selection board nods, BCCI nods.
3. Injuries galore because of hectic schedules. Have you seen any one
voluntarily declaring unfit before the start of a series? The injury worsens and the crucial player walks out from the middle of a series.
THE ROOT CAUSE
Same management persons in BCCI, in IPL and ICC too. Same pals of D Gang. Same money monger in Politics and Sports too.
ICL was a private, parallel league for the game. Money Money Money attracted the jealous BCCI. IPL swallowed ICL like TITAN SWALLOWED THE WHOLE WATCH INDUSTRY IN INDIA AND NOW WALKING OUT of Watch Industry coolly TO TANISHQ.
OK, Money is the great motivator. Forgive the Managements.
Why not monitor selections to have feasible schedules with apt fitness of players?
Why not respect the country’s records in the official Tests ,ODIs and T20s?
Why not restrict IPL for retired players and young budding players and keep out the current national players? Why not make 35 plusses, even if he is Sachin, to stick to either this or that?

in england you have to play with leg movement, foot work hundred percent required, you see raina stroke purely without line , shame, same gambhir, dravid and tendulkar they faced excellent deliveries , sewag and praveen they never expect the ball to bounce , dhoni and lakshman it is their own mistake,

Sickening to see Tendulkar hang on to th team!
by sandeep kumar on Aug 11, 2011 08:31 AM  | Hide replies

This guy is born to play for records and has no pride playing for India! There are tlented youngsters like kohli, badrinath, pujara who have been great in the oppurtunities they got. And the IPL showed Indias got great bench sterngth. Then why is a 38 year old being selected time and again? sad state of affairs. Hope the youngsters dont get discouraged and accept fate. TEndulkar and dravid are typical indian exampels of govt employees. Hanging around contributing very little

Pacers put England in command on Day 1
by kalyan krishnan on Aug 11, 2011 05:28 AM

Except Dravid, rest of the batsmen threw away their wickets through reckless shots. They should remember that they are playing a 5 day test and not a 50 overs game. Inability to rotate the strike and take quick singles frustrates them to go for reckless shots.

Future ICC Test Rankings
by Jay on Aug 11, 2011 04:38 AM

This will be the ICC Test rankings in the near future. Sorry fans but I had to put this up.

1) England
2) South Africa
3) Australia
4) Sri Lanka
5) Pakistan
6) New Zealand
7) India
8) Zimbabwe
9) West Indies
10) Bangladesh

This is what the IPL will eventually do to our team. Tamasha cricket has to be banned. I am planning on gathering many of my friends to start a protest. It's time we fans stick our necks and kick the BCCI out of power. This is our team. This team should represent our great country and not some old basstards with money and political power.

Harbhajan Singh
by J D on Aug 11, 2011 03:17 AM  | Hide replies

It seems media had been too critical of Harbhajan, he is not only a bowler but a good batman who could have added a few more runs for India. He should be considered as an all rounder and kept in the team. You have seen most other Indian players are not doing well either.

An all rounder who can neither bat nor bowl when the situation required, cannot be called an all-rounder of international class. Let him play for Punjab in Ranji Trophy and improve his skills.

Does not look good ....
by Arv Singh on Aug 11, 2011 02:26 AM  | Hide replies

This test match is heading the same way as two earlier matches. The famous Indian batting line-up has not been able to score 300 in five innings so far. Indian bolwing is toothless without Zaheer and Harbhajan. Don't expect them to bowl England out till the end of the third day. By that time England may take a lead of 200 runs. The match could finish as early as the fourth day. It's a disaster ... indicates lack of preparation, planning, physical conditioning, and poor leadership by Dhoni. Him mocking at a senior player and his dead father was very cheap attempt at humour. Do you still find that ad funny?
