He's done well only in Indian subcontinents. This is the first test series (full). He has to pull up his socks and try something new.

Ya, Digvijay Singh or Mahendra Singh (Dhoni) are same. You can like them or hate them, they cannot be ignored. Of course, Diggy is for all wrong reasons.

yes he is improving day by day as model, modeling is his 1st priority, cricket is his 2nd priority & national interest is his last priority. what an improvement sirjee.
However loyal we are, we have to accept the fact that the current team is second best to current England team. Hope it is not a whitewash. If we can save one test, it will be good. But it is very difficult.

by Anurag Rathore on Aug 09, 2011 11:13 AM
Yes current England side is better than current indian side because India is not playing with his full strength side.

by Ataturk on Aug 09, 2011 11:25 AM
So it means that the team is not good enough if 1-2 players are injured? So why do we keep saying about the enormous pool of young players coming up? Around 100 million people play cricket in India!!
Re: Re: Re: Whitewash
by Anurag Rathore on Aug 09, 2011 11:28 AM
India don't have good bench strength in test format. Because India is playing with same string of players for last 7-8 years.
But in ODI India have very good bench strength. So you can't say India don't have pool of young players. It's up to selectors to give chance to best players.
Anshuman Gaekwad is one big fool..... he is trying to convince the people.....and he is searching for the reasons... Ask Dhoni to perform in overseas... let his bat speak...
dhoni is a criminal who has no respect for nation. he even missed the padma award ceremony at rashtrapati bhawan, missed indian ambassador invitation for dinner at his residence, doing ad film for liquor firms, giving irrelevant statements & many more incidences. he is blaming to busy schedule for loss in 2 tests, then why did these businessman participated in IPL. if performance is the criteria for selection, then dhoni should be thrown out of team immediately, instead for waiting for one more defeat.

Re: Re: criminal act

i know about my contribution, at least i am not a person with fake personality. if i will play i will play for country first & IPL is all about money not about country. see his movements on ground, i think dravid is doing better wicket keeping then dhoni . he is totally waste & burdon on cricket team. why did he missed padma award ceremony for ad film, he is a shameless fellow.

peoples are saying that he is a case for bharat ratna, do you people think the person who think himself above country is a candidate for bharat ratna, instead why don't govt. (impotent run be a poor politician) punished him for not attending the ceremony. he should not forget he is a cricketer & not god.

@Sonu Singh: Ya, he is very arrogant. As u guys say, he should first learn to give respect to our country. While playing so many IPL games back to back (for 1.5 months), he was fine. But 2 tests in 3 weeks make him stressed out! Look at the silly excuses he gives

rotidal, dhoni is much much better person and patriot than people like u and sonu singh. he is a good human being a great ambassador of the nation and achieved so much in his life that you wont be able to achieve in 100 births combined...
it is people like him who make his country proud and people like you are a shame and a disgrace to india...

@Sunil Vaidya: We missed u all these days, welcome back! OK, u consider Dhoni to be a patriot than people like us. Good for u. U say he is a great ambassador, matador, whatever. So what??
Based on the performance of last few matches BCCI selection committee should drop away MS Dhoni from the team. They should look over the performance of cricketer not to look MS Dhoni. As well as Captain should to show his performance to remain his exsistance in the team.

That is easy Dada. To run away from a sinking ship is the hallmark of rats. We don't expect this from a leader.

well said my friend. blaming Dhoni means blaming country. He has got two WCs for India. Due to missing of main strength, performance is like that. If our openers puts a good partnership in the 3rd Test, huge total will follow. Its' a matter of one Test to gain confidence and play well for India.

These win/loss is bound to happen in cricket and this is not the first time its happening for indian cricket nor any cricketing world for tat matter...apart from these 2 loss,i don think india has done tat badly to come to No.1 position...may be just a bad series for them,no doubt blame it on BCCI for the IPL schedule and many other reasons
Re: Re: Re: Dhoni should drop away from the team

Reddy Gaaru, Dhoni did not get 2 world cups for india. it was the team which got us laurels and he took the credit. He was a part (captain) of the winning team, thats all. ANd his worthy contribution is only in WC finals when he got support from Yuvi/Kohli. when the team wins, he takes credit. when it loses, he comes up with school boy type excuses.
