India's past record at Edgbaston is not so good. Very likely India will struggle at this fast bouncy wicket & lose this test in 3-4 days.

get over zaheer and learn from Mendis
by D S on Aug 09, 2011 06:50 AM

learn from sri-lanka what spin can do to angrez batting.

Mendis-

"

Mendis, although classified as slow-medium, bowls a mixture of deliveries, including googlies, off-breaks, top-spinners, flippers and leg-breaks,

"

Mendis six wickets for 16 runs, if angrez play T20 at will against India in a test match and then get defensive, India can do the same, plat T20 at will on them for bowling.

FLASHBACK-IT IS SAD turn of events that links us to past
by D S on Aug 09, 2011 05:37 AM  | Hide replies

Sports , economics and videshi tactics.

IT IS SAD turn of events that links us to past.angrez whenever they over-powered local Kingdom or riyasat by deception, trade-business or gun usage.

Once overpowered, Angrez hired-trained local soldiers into their regiments for various political reason to prolong their rule, intelligence gathering, political planning and sustain their power. reminds me of ad, we hiring.
Angrez in past used the scots and today Angrez cricket team has Dutch. Angrez also trained local soldiers to dislike their own kind from different state on basis of language, region, false race theories, economic survival, etc.
In 1987, even the punishment for local soldiers was given by local soldiaers after an local uprising, The local uprising soldiers were promised and tricked to buy time such that Burma regiment could arrive and over-power them. All this was due to trade money, weapons and tactics that angrez could spread themselves. What angrez had was program and planning to remain number 1. they did the same for cricket to develop program to be number 1. It repeats. And it repeats worldwide where videshis have spread their claws by business, technology and weapons, etc. Sports is not different. Even socccer clubs of videsh (Europe) is made popular in thailand, china, korea, japan etc for commerce. initially the brazilians ruled, but recently videshi captured player-coaches and captured african player by economics to acquire all the remaining skills and fill slot

4 overs of IPL neither injures or can test performance-fitness of player. Infact, a Program to be number 1 will do lot more and Indian team A can play IPL once in two years, team B and team C can play every year.

India's Bench Strength
by manoj bhatia on Aug 08, 2011 11:19 PM  | Hide replies

In March Dhoni was very proud of India's bench strength. But he forgot to mention that was only for Odi and T20. We have some run machines from India who are waiting for an opportunity but board would not give them a chance. Why could India not try these players anyways.

Rohit
Parthiv
Dravid
Pujara
Kohli
Rayudu
Irfan
R.P.Singh
V.Kumar
Ishant
Abdulla

Except Pujara probably...

Rahane has a better average 67 with 19 hundreds in 45 first class matches than any of the above....

Of course but he is marathi... so ....

by rameshka on Aug 08, 2011 10:55 PM  | Hide replies

IF SEHWAG TRIES TO BULLDOZE ENGLISH BOWLERS AND FAIL IT WILL B A GR8 QUESTION MARK ABT HIS TEST ATCH TEMPERAMENT

TIME HAS COME FOR SEHWAG TO SHOW TEST MATCH TEMPERAMENT. DER IS NOTHING CALLED PERSONAL STYLE UNLESS IT DOES TEAM ANY GOOD IN CRITICAL SITUATIONS.

INSPITE OF ALL HIS BIG DEEDS AND ICC'S SELECTION IN THE ALL STAR TEAM, HIS TEST TEMPERAMENT IS AS GUD AS AN AVERAGE RANJI PLAYER

who is a better batsman - Dhoni or Dravid ?
by siddharth pathak on Aug 08, 2011 10:33 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni or Dravid ...who is a better batsman in test cricket ?...in my opinion it should be Dhoni...he is out of touch but will soon recover...he scores run at 3 times the speed of Dravid so that India can win matches...most importantly, he has better technique than Rahul "the snail" Dravid...He is also the Coool man...nobody is as cool as dhoni...so he is the best

I feel Ishant Sharma is better than both of them...has got good solid defence and attacking shots...reminds me of another legendary Indian batsman, Maninder singh...he currently holds all battting records...Of course, dhoni has the potential to break them if we have the patience to tolerate the A S S H O L E dhobeee for few more weeks

Sorry you are totally mistaken
Dhoni is the cause of both the
losses Lords and Trent Bridge.
He should be sent back to India
