They are a cursed country in all sports. They will win matches but the truth is they will never make it big.
Wait and see you Clowns.

Foolish and Pre-mature celebrations by England
by S Shrikanth on Aug 04, 2011 07:45 PM  | Hide replies

It is not that English Team team performed so well, but the Indian Team performed miserably.

Mr Flintoff, do not celebrate the one sided victories prematurely. There are two more matches remaining and whole ODI series as well. There could be a massive turnaround and you may be at the receiving end.

But one thing is clear - The non participation of English players in IPL, immediately after WC, helped them to prepare for this series against a tired, injured Indian side.

One - besides the WC the odos don't matter. Yeah two tests are remaining and that is fine.

Two - "tired, injured" excuses don't count.

England need to prove first
by Kalyan Guin on Aug 04, 2011 07:34 PM  | Hide replies

England first need to win in all countries like old OZ or West Indies teams then they should compare themselves as near to them or near to the current Indian Team which had won almost everything

The only team which has won Test Series in all countries is Australia. India is yet to win in SA and Australia.

Good comments

This comment from Flintoff is good. Any time a boastful comment comes from a team or someone closely associated about a team, it has done yeomen good to the opposite team. Here too this is going to happen with the Indian team going to draw this series in an unbelieveable fashion . just wait and watch.

RESURGENCE OF THE OLD ENGLISH POWER ?
by damodaran mohan on Aug 04, 2011 06:07 PM  | Hide replies

Till our no.1 side got the type of drubbing they got at hands of the English the image of an English cricket side was that of a mediocre team with an over-rated KP, a failed Flintoff or a collingwood , an ineffective Morgan , a tentative Strauss, an erratic Stuart Broad whose form fluctuates like the English weather. Let us admit we Indians, whether it were the BCCI, the cricket experts or the ordinary fans like this blogger, every one just underestimated the English side based on past prejudices. Their performance in the WC was also inconsistent and perhaps that added to the Indian’s under rating the English side. But this is a Test business and unlike the Indians the English have prepared well and most important have a settled side that is playing fantastic cricket. But the Indians would never have bargained for what happened and was an absolute shocker with the Englishmen coming over the Indians like a ton of bricks. Undoubtedly it is the best English side seen in recent times playing with confidence and swagger not seen any time recently. But in spite of all this the English look vulnerable---the TOP half.If only India can get a measure of the more dangerous looking bottom half then India have a chance.
