Finally a positive article
by mahesh waran on Aug 04, 2011 11:16 PM

Haa, finally a positive article. England are well prepared, good..e tc are ok, but they are playing in their home ground. England's so called best seamers are nothing in any other country(agreed they played good in Australia only last time) . We've to make ourself composed and hope for the best like we did during worldcup spreading positive feeling to the team

Professional (England) Team Vs School (India) Team
by srikanth gullapalli on Aug 04, 2011 11:02 PM

As far as I have been watching the two test matches, I really feel Indian team was performing well as a school team. But remember that they are against a team which is professionals.

And England played according to the plan and India's Coach was worst than Greg during Rahul's captaincy

why cry foul on sachin ...at least he had scored a half century which saved us from double digit score in final innings ....what is dhoni doing ? ...even raina played once ..everyone played at least one innings till now ...except dhoni and abhinav ...two redundant players

what more ..they are not even showing grit and concentration to settle down and read the ball .... just dig in like a maniac ...play so many dot balls that even best of english pace attack should squeeze in their balls

FAST
by Gopal Krishnan on Aug 04, 2011 08:44 PM  | Hide replies

Indian Batsmen are reluctant to play against Fast and Indian Bowlers are unable to bowl fast. None of the batsmen showed courage against fast. But we have one in India who is constantly threatening to go on fast - Put Anna Hazare in Indian team.

tendulkar vada pav, leave the game gracefully plzz. Its time
by rahul joya on Aug 04, 2011 08:18 PM  | Hide replies

Why is he still in team? Great players play great all the time. Viv richards, Gilchrist, kallis, akram, inzy, vettori, sehwag, anwar, pollock, rhodes, donald, astle, jayasuriya, vaasa re all examples. This guy modifies his game everytime depending on where he plays. Why did he not play in West Indies but played in IPL? what happened in world cup final? Vada pav got out just like 2003 world cup final. Luckily India did not play South Africa otherwise they would have been crushed in the world cup. Other sports legeneds, like pele, jordan, bryant, sampras, federer, nadal play their natural games all the time. Something this vada pav needs to learn fast or make way for someone new and fresh in a country with 1.2 billion people.

u r not worthy to voice ur opinion against a great batsman like sachin. He has reached the pinnacle of success which no other player has ever achieved.Just 2 bad games doesnt tag him a loser. When lebron james misses a dunk in nba...it doesnt mean hes isnt a great player..same is the case with sachin...Only losers like you cant write such rubbish..

INDIAN BATTING ORDER STRATEGY FOR STABILITY
by damodaran mohan on Aug 04, 2011 07:52 PM  | Hide replies

The inescapable conclusion that the main cause for the drubbing in the two tests is batting failure of Indians. Except for Dravid and Laxman rest of the big gins virtually capitulated although Raina did show some application in the 1st Test. It is felt Dhoni also got his batting order completely wrong by concentrating all dependable at the Top end leaving a weak bottom end before the tail. The clubbing of Dravid-Laxman-Sachin in that order left a big void below. Now for the next two tests we have Sehwag, Gambhir,Dravid,Scahin,Laxman,Dhoni and Raina. In this line up the three nodes are Dravid , Sachin and Laxman around whom the batting should revolve in three segments. Top segment order should be Sehwag-Gambhir-Dravid. Then 2nd segment should be Sachin-Dhoni or still better Dhoni-Sachin. Then the third segment is left with Laxman-Raina.So, batting order is to be Sehwag-Gambhir-Dravid-sachin-Dhoni-Laxman-Raina or preferably Sehwag-Gambhir-Dravid-Dhoni-Sachin-laxman-Raina.The idea is Dravid and Laxman to be separated and a bit unsure Dhoni given some cushion from both ends to give stability to top, middle and bottom end so that wickets do not fall in quick succession.

.....well ganguly is right to the extent that it reflects a positive attitude and approach and if the batting clicks chances of winning increases. However the conditions in england are very dicy and the 1st two Tests the conditions were not suitable for batting first.if India had batted first the result for India could have been even worse considering the form of the english bowlers.
