I think Akram should be made the bowling coach for the Indian team.

Dhoni must be sacked
by Sameer Bhagwat on Aug 03, 2011 06:29 PM  | Hide replies

Tail enders bashing our bowlers, addle brained field pacements. Winning toss and bowling as if its a one day game.
The bowlers not given fields to which they could bowl. No slow balls, yorkers, pathetic and gutless display by Dhoni and majority of the Indian team. Duncan fletcher is useless and so is millionaire Dhoni.

great,

can u please lead the indian cricket team, or just name some one who can replace Dhoni (with a sustained success record)

dude grow up, it is just one loss after too many wins india has never seen

I strongly believe that this is because of too much of cricket.

give them a gud break and then I am sure dhoni will rule

bhabbu the great: if bcci gives them even a 5 day break, people will start advertising, auctioning, promoting items on behalf of their wives, etc.

any captain has to earn his place in team as a player first & dhoni doesn't desrve place in test, T-20 intl & ODI overseas based on merit & his past performance.
Captaincy can't win any matches.
Any captain is as good as his team.
Collingwood was captain of T-20 wcup winning team but now he is dropped from all format as not performing with bat.
Dhoni captaincy is just hyped with no substance in it

What abt Batting Skill?
by Santosh Rane on Aug 03, 2011 05:30 PM

Sorry Akram he (Dhoni) has a lot of things to improve in test matches.
Just look at his batting average and past performances in Australia, England, South Africa & West Indies.
Yes he has scored few centuries but tht is agnst Srilanka and Pakistan in Asian soil where ball doesn''t move.

no. dhoni must get punishment for the silly decision of bowling 1st.. & what about his poor batting form in test matches, if any w/k batsman is outside of the team except dhoni, then isn't it fair to give him chance. vidyaman saha must get chance to play in the final 11.

We did not get World cup because of Dhoni's Gutsy Decision it is because of Diplomatic reasons that Pakistan and Srilanka gave away

If BCCI plan to produce 2 National teams with 20 member squad for each, then every player will get a chance n enough rest.
And players can concentrate on the game without any pressure to cement their place in the team, becoz
if not perform well in the main team, will demote to next level team.
Now see I Pathan,Agarkar,Uthappa,VenugopalRao and Balaji...etc..,
all these are very talented players but not sure whether they come back to national side again.
So that we can protect a lot of bench strength to challenge any nation and we don't lose any player.

Team-A plays with top 6 nations 1.Australia, 2.SouthAfrica, 3.Srilanka, 4.England, 5.Pakistan, 6.Newzeland.
Team-B plays with next top 6 nations 7.WestIndies, 8.Bangladesh, 9.Irland, 10.Zimbambwe, 11.Netherlands, 12.Kenya.

The Squads:
Team-A:                   ;Team-B:

2.Sehwag                  2.Mur aliVijay

I think he meant 3 separate teams. Dhoni can captain t20 and odi while someone like Gambhir can start with test captaincy. Zak can be left to test cricket with occasional ODI high profile series ( Aussies or Pak). Need 5 different fast bowlers in each of the 3 squads. Couple of spinners, a keeper and rest of team comprising of batsmen ( if there was all-rounder, then him also). Give more chances and see how we fare. Give chance for full one year
