He does not deserver Bharat Ratna considering the fact that he never played stellar innings under pressure and when its needed. Especially in run chase in crucial matches and pressure situations. Thats an indication of pacifist/looser.
And Bharat ratna needs to be conferred to warriors/winners/champions.
Awarding BR for SRT wud be the greatest joke of all time. SRT is guys who clauimed he is an actor and not a cricketer to avoid Tax.. what a shame..he neither deserves one on crikceting grounds or on personal ground..A guy who lusts behind money, comforts, records.. not involved in any type of charity.. claims tax waiver for ferrari.. certianly doesnt deserve..just becos there are many undeserving BR winners doesntmean we can cheapen the award further
I just cant understand the rantings of a few in these comments(thankfully in a minority), who havent achieved even a fraction of what he's done. Hes easily the greatest cricketer that ever played, and isnt that good enough that that a person like that being Indian gets the countrys highest award? Do people want these awards to go to corrupt politicians who have been looting our country? Tendulkar ,aside from being the greatest, is also humble,clean and brought joy to a billion. And dont forget that he has the pressure to succeed always, and despite that remains down to earth and simple, who plays for the lvoe of the game and not money minded, like some of our public figures.

SRT not money minded?...if there is one cricketer whi is money minded.. then it is SRT?..He is always on tax-defaulters list.. claiming tax-waivers.. as if he is poor..
Place don't devaluate this higest honor in India by awarding it to som incompetent . The award is meant for some one who has given exceptional service to the nation and truly devoted to it.
Not for someone who just does for himself and keep piling for himself have few good marketr, keep marketing for himself to enhance his reputation..

Well said. By that logic Bharat Ratna should be ONLY conferred posthumously. Else there would be objections by logical people like you about the food, water and the air that living people use for themselves, instead of giving it to needy poor like you... ;-)
