Money Champs getting exposed...
by Muhammed on Aug 03, 2011 03:07 PM

Unfortunately, Britishers cannot under perform for some paper money or getting place in IPL, as they have ruled India and it is against their integrity. Money champs unfortunately will be on losing side

Boycott, pl put your words in mouth
by prakash mishra on Aug 03, 2011 02:59 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr. Boycott
Eng team was thrashed by Australia from 1989 to 2007 with 2005 as exception. The result is as follows.

1989 Eng lost the series by 4-0
1990-91 Eng lost the series by 3-0
1993 Eng lost the series by 4-1
1994-95 Eng lost the series by 3-1
1997 Eng lost the series by 3-2
1998-99 Eng lost the series by 3-1
2001 Eng lost the series by 4-1
2002-03 Eng lost the series by 4-1
2005 Eng won the series by 1-2
2006-07 Eng lost the series by 5-0

Where were you at all these years and your guidance and advise. In 2006-07 Eng lost 5-0 but no body commented as you did after India lost to Eng. Till today Eng is not able to win world cup. This shows the brilliance. Pl do n’t talk more. We have seen your batting and know your techniques.

100% correct.

Our record of beating England within 25 minutes on the first day itself at Trent Bridge should shut him up forever rather than telling us some st00p1d stories like England won by 319 runs... :)

And they also have all the help from the Pathetic Umpires - Just look at Sachin's reaction being given out LBW with the ball pitched outside off and clearly no way near the stumps - Pathetic England got no spirit and Pathetic Boycott a convicted wife beater!!

hey Raj, Admit the fact that India are no good anymore. They can't win outside of India. Let BCCI make a deal with ICC that India won't tour anymore and that all test tems should come to India and play in flat pitches so that india can always keep the no.1 place. India's priority should be first and foremost IPL, then T20 and ODI's. Test cricket should die a slow death coz Dhoni and friends cannot play test cricket in swinging foreign conditions.

Lest you forget India just had a good overseas tour of West Indies - so shut up and respect that India are No.1 team through their hard work over last few years and unlike England who may STEAL that spot with help of Pathetic pitch conditions and indeed the Umpiring - thats my view - No change in my opinion mate!!

;-)... well said. We can become #1 with pathetic players, pathetic umpires and pathetic fans.... why should you change your opinion at all? ;-)

And I tremendously liked your rejoinder about how we beat West Indies in West Indies whilst facing their dreaded pace battery of Marshall, Garner, Holding, Ambrose, Walsh and at the same time ensured that Viv Richards, Clive Lloyd, Haynes etc. couldn't even open their accounts once in the whole series...
Brilliant. To have beaten such a strong team which even Bangladesh has ever beaten was such a big treat for us Indian fans... ;-)

Sachin made an error of judgement. The ball came in after pitching outside off. Sachin shouldn't have shouldered arms.

It's impossible that all the hype about his 100 wouldn't have affected Tendulkar. He is human after all. And during this innings it's pathetic how the wickets kept falling around Tendulkar. It must have definitely distracted him.

Absolutely foolish article. How can you compare Indian team with Bangladesh. They played absolutely great cricket with all the opponents.Even they threatened Aussies so many times. So comparing Indians with Bangladesh is foolishness.

FOR THE TIME BEING WE PLAYED LIKE BANGLADESH NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT. NO-1 TEAM DOES NOT PLAY LIKE THIS ANYWAY WHEN YOU ARE NO-1 YOUR BENCH STRENGTH SHOULD NOT BE ZERO. SEE WHAT REPLACEMENT WE HAVE FOR SEHWAG AND GAMBHIR WHAT WE HAVE FOR ZAHEER. DO WE HAVE?. WHEN BRAZIL PLAY FOOTBALL THEY HAVE ONE MORE TEAM EQUALANT TO PLAYING ONE SITTING ON BENCH FOR ANY REPLACEMENT SAME FOR SPAIN AND ARGENTINA.ONE TEAM CAN NOT BE NO-1 UNTILL IT DOES NOT BEAT EVERY TEAM AT THEIR BACKYARD LIKE AUSTRALIA AND WEST-INDIES DID. ENGLAND HAS BEATEN AUSTRALIA AND SOUTH AFRICA BOTH AT THEIR BACKYARD SO THEY ARE REAL NO-1 FOR TIME BEING.

Totally agreed - This Geoffrey Boycott is a known criminal convict in UK, for he has a past record of wife beating and been prosecuted - we must clean this game by throwing such criminal convicts out of the game in any way shape or form - for a wife beater expresses his views as a racist too - just listen to him live on commentary - GEOFFREY BOYCOTT STINKS!!

Well said. I too will never listen to any commentator who merely tells us what's happening in the game.

Your commentary is much more entertaining. You can keep telling us about how India won at Trent Bridge without even losing a wicket, and demolished England within 25 minutes on the first day itself, regardless of whatever actually happened there... :)
Too hilarious!! :)

Pitches with pace, bounce, spin in domestic first class cricket
by cc man on Aug 03, 2011 10:42 AM  | Hide replies

Most of the big heads in the cricket fraternity have been aware that producing pitches that has pace, bounce, seam, spin in domestic first class cricket is the solution. But thats never been happening because of bureacracy, politics etc.

And top of that demolish MRF Pace academy. Its been in the business since 10 yrs but none of the bowlers produced from there ever remained consistent wicket taking bowlers and infact none of them ever became great bowlers. All the past and current great bowlers are not from there. Like McGrath,Malinga,Akthat,Mohammad Aamir,Asif,Broad,Anderson,Tremlett,Steyn etc. All were naturally developed fast bowlers. There system does not believe in academies as its blocks naturality.

THIS INDIAN TEAM CAN WIN ONLY IN INDIA ON DEAD WICKETS. YOU BRING BACK HARBHAZAN TO INDIA HE WILL START TAKING SOME WICKETS THERE IS NO PROBLEM OF HIS FORM AT ALL. HE DOES NOT HAVE CLASS AT ALL ALL THOSE 400 WICKETS ARE TAKEN IN INDIA I MEAN MOSTLY. PRAVIN KUMAR IS TAKING WICKETS OK BUT HE WILL NEVER GET WICKEST ON INDIAN SOIL SINCE HE DOES NOT HAVE PACE AT ALL. TEST IS MUCH DIFFERENT FROM ONE DAY AND 20-20 LOOK AT RAINA AND YUVRAJ THEY MAKE TONS OF RUNS IN 20-20 AND ONE DAY INDIA AND ABROAD. WHEN PLAYING IN TEST BOTH WILL ALWAYS FAIL CAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TECH WHICH COMES FROM CHILDHOOD NOT NOW. AT YOUR COACHING CAMP YOU LEARN HOW TO LEAVE THE RISING BALL OR PULL IT OR HOOK IT NOT WHEN YOU ARE 24-25 PLUS.WHY RHOIT SHARMA DOES NOT HAVE PROBLEM WITH RISING BALL AND PUJARA ALSO DOES NOT HAVE PROBLEM THEY LEARNED AT EARLY AGE. BOTH THIS WILL BE GOOD MIDDLE ORDER BATSMAN FOR INDIAN TEST SIDE.

ccman: producing pitches with pace and bounce is not possible in India, owing to the inclement weather we have.
Here we can only produce dust bowls as the sun beating harshly along with humidity or dryness (depending on where u play) will crack the pitches in a matter of few hours after which it will be a dust bowl....
The concept of artifical pitches should be introduced where we have a turf that has good bounce, pace and carry should be laid on the natural pitch and players should be asked to play games on these turfs.

Why India cannot win overseas ????
by Aryan on Aug 03, 2011 10:22 AM  | Hide replies

Problems with Indian cricket. There are many but if i could list a few, then these r the ones.
1. Lack of good openers.
2. Inability to play bounce.
3. Player fitness is always a concern.
4. Lack of good fast bowlers.
5. Lack of genuine all rounder.
6. Stupid captain who is not of test quality.

pradeep: first and foremost, dhoni as captain should be sacked. he is not a test player only good enough to play t20 and odi's and that too on dust bowls of indian subcontinent.
Second make Gambhir the captain for tests. Let parthiv or Dinesh Karthik be the WK.
Thirdly it is high time we groom genuine fast bowlers who can bowl at 140 kph and not in sub 120kph speeds.
Time to nurture one or two genuine all rounders who can perform irrespective of the conditions....
Is this too much to ask from a billion plus population???? If so then india should stop playing cricket..

Praveen was the best performing bowler. He doesn't bowl at 140. Speed isn't the only criterion. You need to have control, variety and guile.

THE BIG PROBLEM IS THAT IN INDIA 70% OR MORE PEOPLE FOLLOW CRICKET BUT NOT EVEN 20% HAVE PROPER KNOWLEDGE OF IT. WHAT THE HELL SHARAD PAWAR AND DESHMUKH ARE DOING IN CRICKET ORGANIZATIONS. PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS HEAVY CONDITIONS WHAT IS FLAT WICKET WHAT IS SEAMING CONDITIONS. WHEN NON CRICKET PLAYING PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE PART IN SELECTION PROCESS OF PLAYERS THEN THESE RESULTS WILL COME. WHEN I TRAVEL IN TRAIN I TALK TO PEOPLE WHO ARE SITING TO NEAR BERTH I HARDLY FOUND PEOPLE HAVE MUCH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ANY SPORTS FORGET ABOUT OTHER SPORTS THEY DO NOT HAVE PROPER KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CRICKET EVEN WHICH IS SAID RELIGION OF INDIA.
