Whenever we lose a Test or series, the blame is put squarely on the bowlers. Technically, bowlers can be blamed for not being able to win matches, but for not being able to draw matches, batsmen have to take the blame. Our batsmen could have drawn the Lord's Test, and they can do the same here, but will they? The bowlers, as a matter of fact are performing beyond their capabilities. They have taken 16 wickets here. On the contrary, the batsmen have failed to do their jobs.
India will loose the series 4-0. England have clearly exposed them. Dhoni has won most of the series at home except when they beat New zealand 1-0. They have drawn the series in South africa and Australia. If you check the record of Australia. They have beaten, England in England, India in India, WestIndies in West Indies. India has just beaten the depleted West Indies side 1-0. So, when the real test came in England, they will be beaten comprehensively without any real fight.

No, it is not. India became no. 1 by hard work, and remained there for quite some time. India cannot lay claims to remaining number 1 for all times. It is just time to surrender the crown. There is no need to be emotional about it.

There are norms decided by ICC and accepted by all to rank Test Teams. There may be cases, when the computer ranks a team as number 1, but commonsense says the computer cannot be right. It happens in other sports too. In Tennis, we have seen Carlos Moya, Marcelo Rios and Juan Carlos Ferrero at the top, but for one thing, they stayed there for very short times, and nobody genuinely believed they were no. 1 players, because they were just clay courters. No wonder, India too, became number 1 in Test Cricket. Nobody can deny it. Now, because of one-dimensional style of play, they have to relinquish the crown. But nobody is going to take it away from Team India. They became no. 1 and stayed there.
I have already predicted a 3-0 win for England. But looks like it is going to be a whitewash (4-0). Indian bowlers looked clueless. They are not creating chances or trying to build pressure. England batsmen are getting out by their own mistake or a very good delivery, which happens once in 30 overs or so.
India might win/loose the match but the point is Dhoni and team management showed some courage and character. . It was a good call taken by the team. This will make the series a decent one. . I was shocked to see the commentary from Ravi Shastri and Gavaskar. . They thrive on contreversies. . Ian Bell was not running for the 4th run. . Let the good spirit prevail. . Its good to show some character and India's image has been bettered. , else if character is lost, everything is lost. . Old men in the commentary room will always brood....

LBWs are not given out and DRS is forced due to umpires intentional faults when 6 cameras (from both teams, 6 each) could suffice to review the replay. 2-4 of those camera can be high speed with high resolution. These cameras can be from japan, korea and even china.

@DS: i do not understand why you want rp singh. is he yr cousin? dear in that tour agarkar also did very good job do you want him back? rp is not playing good cricket since last couple of years to get a chance in the team. so i know the way current team is playing we all wants our players in the team. but before that we also need to see who is capable and all.. imp thing is at this point after lost, most of the pandit was saying eng is deserve to be no.1 but i was not thinking and did not worry with indian lost also because that match india played almost 8 players (sachin/gambhir/jahir) is out. sehvag is already not playing. so just think if eng play without their 4 main players (straus, cook, peterson, anderson) what happend. so same thing happend with india. but the way in second match india bated, i am worried now. and do not known on which skills dhoni is in team and leading team. he is good for one-day but not in test and that took in oversees test match means it is a big jock.
