What are they doing in IPL when their country team is beaten so badly at home. Obvously they are not committed to national interests. In fact IPL has destroyed national spirit. Maliga was asked to go to England he resigns. Many top cricketers too have retired from test matches because they want money, it's ok to earn more but at least accept that IPL has become top priority over national pride. I think if some Pak players were allowed in IPL they might have ignored spot fixing.
The fact remains that today the West Indies are unable to compete against the top teams in the world. The wooden spoon among the test playing nations is now being competed between Bngladesh, Zimbabwe and the West Indies. Whether this is due to lack of discipline and professionalsim or due to other factors it is for the West Indians themselves to find out. Some of their performances over the last decade or so have been absolutely pathetic. After Brian Lara left, there is now nobody left to remind one of the glory days of Lloyd, Greenidge, Richards and Kallicharan, or Sobers,Hunte, Worrel, Walcott and Weekes before them. And after Walsh and Ambrose left the game they havent had a single bowler to measure up to Roberts, Holding, Marshall, Garner, Croft or Hall, Griffiths or Gilchrist before them.

Cricket in W.Indies is no longer top preference of youngsters. It is basketball & baseball which offers them more money & it is showing in lack of bench strength. It is causing great loss to world cricket as they were biggest crowd pullers in 70's till late 80's
