As sehwag said they may be having enough batsmen in their ranks, but very few who can make an impact except sehwag, warner and to some extent hopes. They have got it all wrong in team selection this time. They failed to retain even their local players like pradeep sangwan and rajat bhatia who could have been better than many of their current players. Even their bowling also looks really thin and depends heavily on one or two bowlers. They themselves have scripted their fate in this year's ipl
DD failed to utilise the player retention & let go Gautam Gambhir & AB Deviliers. DD will win only if both or any 1 of the openers play a longer innings. Else there is no reliable middle order batsman. Irfan Pathan DD's biggest buy in the auction hasn't given back his money's worth.

Sehwag and yuvi doesnt seem that serious about their captaincy jobs. Their body language in the field, especially yuvi's, clearly shows that. Along with vettori, they have been the poorest captains in this editon of ipl
The DD team is one of the most weakest in this year's ipl. they depend heavily one or two players both bowling and batting. Had delhi picked only their local players this time, they would have been strong in this edition. Players lke ishant sharma, gambhir, rajat bhatia, pradeep sangwan along with sehwag and four foreign players would have been a lethal combination

They have got Match winner Sehwag who can win match single handedly. Once in a blue moon on flat tracks.

We have to be specific while criticizing others. Sehwag may be playing below average in ipl but he is an unselfish batsman who will win you matches. Sehwag is one of the best test match batsmen in the world right now, if not the best. Yes, he has to be lot more consistent in the shorter format of the game be it in T20's or ODI's

What u meant to say by this. i dont understand. Nobody can dismiss sehwag's test match record and the contribution he has made in our test wins.We would like him to be a little more consistent in the odi format, but one cannot deny the fact that, that is the role that he has been given by the indian team management to go and blaze out early to put the opposition on the backfoot, like what he had done against pakistan in this year's wc semifinal. That innings was even more critical than even sachin's 85 in that match

Sehwag plays for himself only. he never adjust according to situation.

Atleast in indian team, sehwag has been given the license to play freely by the team management. He is the only player to begiven such a licence, not even yusuf. And that ploy is what helping india to win test matches which at their best, they could only drew. In the wc semifinal against pakistan, it is that play which ultimately helped india to post a defendable total. Infact sehwag should be applauded for trying to score at a faster pace for the team, sacrificing many centuries and half centuries that he could have scored.Am not talking about DD , but about our national team

No doubt on his ability in test format. But in shorter version the more he will stay on wicket the more India will win the matches.

U meant to say that the pitch at melbourne when he scored 195 in less than 2 sessions was a flat one. The ball was moving all around then, my dear friend. When ajantha mendis tormented us in that series against sl in sl, he was the only one who dictated terms to the oppositon and help us win the test match. There are innumerable examples to point out tat sehwag is one of the best batsman india has ever produced

IT IS true that both pathan brothers are going through a lean patch, but things are bound to improve, esp. for Yusuf, he is bowling and fielding.has improved.only should improve his batting..
