I dont know what criteria does the bcci look for while selecting coaches. While choosing a bowling coach, bcci went for eric simmons rather than allan donald who was also in the fray. It was under allan donald as the bowling coach, that england bowling got a revival. During the 2005 ashes series in england where they beat australia, donald was their bowling coach. Bowlers like anderson, harmison, sidebottom, hoggard etc bowled brilliantly for england during that series. Till now, even after six months of taking charge, eric has not been able to contribute significantly to our bowling dept. We won the world cup only bcoz of our batting might.Bowling still remains a concern for the new world champions.
As in the case of kirsten, bcci should have gone for somebody who has proven himself on the field. Though fletcher had some memorable achievements to his credit with the england team, he has never been able to take england to the next level. I think micheal vaughan is the man who has turned aroung england team and helped them retain ashes in 2005. The england team under fletcher and nasser hussain had lost an ashes series in australia 5-0.

This Man himself was the guru of Gary Kirsten, Jacque Kallis, Allan Donald. It was Gary Kirsten Advice Indian Board Selected Duncan Fletcher, he not comming to train Dravid, Sachin Laxman but to increase the maneuvering of Yuvraj , Suresh Raina Ishant Sharma,Virat Kohli in Test and ODI for future replacement for legends.

That garry won us the world cup doesnt mean that every suggestion made by him is ultimate. It was on gary's suggestion that we opted for eric simmons as our bowling coach instead of allan donald who was also in the fray. And till now after 6 months of taking charge, eric has not been able to impact any significant change in our bowling. It was bcoz of our batting might that we won the world cup, not bcoz of our bowlers. Bowling still remain a concern for the newly crowned world champions. On the other hand, Allan donald, within months of taking charge, turned around the england bowling unit, which until then was just a set of average men at the best. He was the bowling coach of england when they retained the ashes in 2005. And their bowling was the major difference in that series. Bowlers like anderson, harmison, hoggard etc were more effective and threatening than the australian trio of mcgrath, gillespie, kasprowicz and lee. Ryan sidebottom also was developing in to a great bowler under donald till an unfortunate injury derailed his career

Somebody called monty panesar also came up during his tenure. Where could he be now? Heard bopara saying that he wants to cement his place in england test team !! Hope he is selected to play for england against us in coming july. If that happens, we need to concentrate only on ten men.

Dada does not enjoy the confidence of anyone... Indian cricket is full of politics... They dont respect fellow Indians and won't mind them well. If any ex Indian players come to coach the team, the "RICH KIDS" in the team wouldnt even mind him... Remember Yuvraj's interview before the worldcup? The youngsters in the team are rich and arrogant and they think they know everything!
Only option is to show White Skin and make all of them come in the line! he he he
Fletcher is much better choice than any of the Australian coaches (like Justin Langer, wough were in race). Fletcher may be old & fat but he is able person. Let’s hope best to happen.

I would love to see the chemistry between Flether and Yuvraj who has a very similar attitude like Kevin Peterson with whom Flether had tough time in England. Lets wait and watch ..........
Gavaskar and shastri demading prize money of 1cr for commentators..I dont know how commentators involved in team India win..India would have won WC if gavaskar or manjrekar or maninder singh did commentary..too much ..gavaskar asked 10cr salary for IPL core committe member...
cant we find one just one coach from whole of India or do we think only a foreigner can coach our team. We wasting forex by Paying 30,000 US$ P.M. to Fletcher isnt very very on high we might get 2 to 3 coach from india at this cost its a sheer waste of money

Indian coaches are lazy, biased, regionalism and they will select mamas sons, any shit player to the team..

India's Sandeep Patil was coach of Kenyan Team which reached to the semi finals of the world cup 2003. Where is Sandeep Patil now ? Why can he be considered or we need a Foreigner to keep us united ?
