He will be a good option as India Coach

New Zealand had stray stars in earlier years like Richard Hadlee, John Wright, Martin Crowe but has never been a star studded team like Australia, West Indies, South Africa, Pakistan, India etc.

During the days of Stephen Fleming as captain, he was seen to elevate the performance of his team of bat-a-bit, bowl-a-bit players like Cairns, Harris, Styris, Astle etc. into a tidy and successful unit which tasted success at international level on several occasions.

While he was considered one of the best captains compared to other teams of the world, Vettori said in 2009 that Fleming could be the ideal coach for NZ.

Fleming is shrewder and a better tactician, strategist than the likes of Andy Flower and Duncan Fletcher, whose names are doing the rounds as possible successor to Gary Kirsten.

One hopes BCCI ropes in Fleming as the next coach without losing much time.

The only factor to be considered is that he is just about of same age as Tendulkar and Dravid and just one year or so older than Laxman, with these three Indians set to play in tests atleast for the next couple of years.

What could work in favour of Fleming is that (1) he has been interacting with Dhoni and other CSK players like Raina, Vijay, Ashwin etc. for the last three years(2) his knowledge of Australia and NZ will help in guiding team India during test tours and also WC 2015 (to be held there).

Ya we accept the fact that we cant find a coach in our country. But we have a team which just won the world cup for us. We Indians always call a spade 'a spade' unlike you brainless buggers. We analyse each and every parameter before taking a decision and dont have jhuti shaan like you BEGGARS.Imagine about 15 years back both India and Pakistan were almost near each other in terms of economy, cricket etc. but now we are far ahead of you in all good aspects just because of the mentality of people like you.You are ahead of us only in one aspect, which is TERRORISM. Go wash your a__ instead of talking about India

Even I agree with you mate....
you always need a guy who remain calm, positive, focussed to coach our guys.Talent and skill wise our guys are okay.So you need to manage our guys and be like a father like figure.Kirsten and wright were successful only because of these factors and also understanding the indian players and our culture. So it would be nice to have andy than fleming or warne.
