Sheer jealousy
by Hirendra Chatterjee on Apr 21, 2011 03:18 PM  | Hide replies

Politicians and spent cricketers in Sri Lanka are jealous of their current players making big money from IPL. That is why they are exhibiting this dog in the manger attitude. Didnt the minister or the Sri lankan Cricket board know before hand about the England tour? If the Sri Lankan players are forced to pull out, The Indian Cricket Board should take strickt action and bar them from future IPL auctions. They should also stop payment and stop cooperating with the Sri Lankan board, which is always in need of money and resources.

Why Mumbai Indians lost against Kochi instead of Tendulkar's 100
by Vikram Laskar on Apr 21, 2011 03:14 PM  | Hide replies

...because the selfish Tendulkar was thinking of taking a single on the last ball of the innings to complete his century. Any other player would have thought of scoring the maximum on the last ball.

IDIOT VIKRAM LASKAR,...u r blaming tendulkar for MI loss agianst Kochi, while he was the only one who builded up the innings since first bowl. It was the lack lusture performance by the bowlers which costed them the match. YAHAN BAKWAS KAR SAKTA HAI TU, LEKIN KUCH AUR NAHI...

Boss how will some one know that in the next inning they will chase the score with 1 over remaining. Any batsmen will try and hit the ball for maximum run.And if you see his shot it was just a defensive shot to score 1 run.If it would have been some one else He would have tried scoring the maximum run.

correct, you are the only sensible person here.
sachin always played for himself, like gavaskar.
whenever he hits 100, the team loses, that is the eternal truth

Well said thats what the selfish has done throughout his career. Only thinking of his own runs and never the team. Not taken ever any reponsibilty and won us big matches like Saurav, Dhoni etc.

No body is stoping you from praising Sachin so the same way you should not stop any body in criticizing Sachin. Its a democracy and every body have there own view. You cant force some body to agree on your view only

Abe oye. Dada is great. Check the figures than speak. Sachin has never won big matches for us. Dada has numerous times. Independence Cup Dhaka, Nairobi, Australia, South Africa. Sachin only plays in unimportant matches against lesser oppenents.

Thats not true boss. Out of his 49 centuries in ODI india has won 33 times and lost 16 times. This record it self will say that He is far far better then dada when it comes to batting. Yes when you comapre the captaincy I will agree with you that dada was a better captain then sachin.
And when you say that dada has once the cup let me clarify dada captained in those matches and the win was a combined win and not his individual win

The problem is that most of these matches are unimportant matches. Big match performance are very less. Saurav's career was cut short multiple times after just 1 match in 1992 he had to wait for 4 years. That too if he had not scored century in debut he would have been dropped for ever. Just think the pressure. Then the Greg Chappel era. Again 2 years gone. He comes back with a bang. He has sacrificed his century in many one dayers trying increase the runscoring tempo for teams cause. Something Sachin will never do. He only plays for his century. Can't take reponsibilty. Saurav was the fastest scorer of 2000-7000 runs in onedayers (on no of matches taken). With all those years which he lost due to reasons apart from cricketing reasons he would have been scoring much more runs.

Again I disagree with you. Out of the 33 winning centuries 26 centuries are against good team. Have a look on the data:
Australia : 7 winning Centuries
Newzeland: 5 winning Centuries
Westendies: 2 Winning Centuries
Srilinka: 6 winning centuries
Pakistan: 1 Winning Centuries
South Africa: 3 winning Centuries
England: 2 Centuries and both the matches got tied/NR

If Sourav has been really that good then He would not have gone out so many times out of the team.
