The WICB is the sole culprit here. They axe Chris Gayle and then what doe they expect him to do ? lick their feet ? I think Gayle did the right thing. He chose to play cricket and make money in the side. Not only that, he also gets to be loved by Bangalore for a month and half. To all you purists out there: suck it up y'all. This is the era of cricket mercenaries. Country first drama is over. Financial well being is what matters. When the bills come knocking at your door, the country will only want you to pay up. If you wanna serve your country then join the army. For cricket it's all about glamor, glitz, and fame. Too bad WICB, you have only yourselves to blame.
West Indies cricket has disappeared - this is the fault of WICB only, not Gayle or Sarwan. I am happy that Gayle joins RCB - RCB needs him and he can pull their batting out of the woods.
WICB Board has to react it immediately before chris settle in IPL.. do the needful for the great batsman Chris Gayle WICB, if not your in trouble. remember Gayle does not speak much but he preforms well if he is fully fit in World cup 2011, react fast with his statement if not you will lose a great player for coming series against Pakistan.

It is not about WI or other country. I think at this level it is same everywhere. Look at the reward was given to once best Indian captain saurav ganguly. They did exactly same or even worse with him. They almost forced him to retire couple of years back when his contemporary players are still playing test cricket. And now they even dont allow him to play IPL where even college team players get a place. Cricket like other games is no more a game now it has become an industry and a handful of people is enjoying the outcome. So I think it is high time for us to go back to our own work and stop spending our important time and emotions on this so called cricket world ...........
threatening your team star to sign to contract is not only immoral it is illegal also. WICB never good to its player and atleast BCCI has its won ways but they look after their players very well.

Yes, BCCI looks after its players very well- just the same way they dumped Ashish Nehra after he got injured.
