Mr Brax,
Your Highness! Nobody is wasting energy in IPL, players are being paid handsome money for their participation which more than their life time earning from the all countries including the first world. BCCI is not forcing them to play IPL, its entirely upto the players. I am sure its better for players to maximise their earning potential while they are at theit maximum fitness.
I am sure the players are quite happy with you, but not Drax and his mother et al.
Also your Highness.....Its better to play in IPL or any premier league in that sense than playing junks matches in their respective contries. Peace.....

Debt...
by Nostradamus Great on Apr 20, 2011 07:28 PM

And also by doing this, Lankan board screwed a chance to make some money that they could have used to repay their debts... And India - Sri Lanka series, although boring, could have given them some money... he he

Hue and Cry
by Nostradamus Great on Apr 20, 2011 07:27 PM  | Hide replies

No need for the Hue and Cry.. Let them go back.. By creating an issue out of this, IPL and BCCI will be giving undue importance to the Lankan Cricketers in IPL. They can leave if they want and the franchisee shld give chance to other foreign players!!

If BCCI and IPL cannot forget this incident and think that its a battle that the Lankans won, then they can take revenge in next IPL by not taking Lankan cricketers, cos they and their board are not dependable anymore...

Simple... Move on ppl....

They have england series starting from 27th May..
so before the auction SLC said thier players were available till 24rd around, Now SLC hit back asking them to quit IPL by May 5, nearly 20 days before the agreed date is a problem...understand the situation before talking abt national commitments....

Traitor Srilanka
by Sandeep on Apr 20, 2011 07:03 PM

The srilankan beggars need to be treated the way pakistanis have been treated in criket with afridi and pakistani prime minister begging to resume cricket.
Srilanka has forgot all the help it takes from India for each and every need.
It is trying to sit on the head of India forgetting its stature in comparision to India.
It is nothing but a traitor.

some reasons for it...
by madhusoodan on Apr 20, 2011 06:50 PM  | Hide replies

1) Srilanka president was not invited to World Cup Final match like they invited to pakistani president,
2) Srilankan president requested 30 Tickets for reservation, but BCCI rejected and gave them only 10 tickets.
3) china and pakistan are in connection with srilanka because they have common enemy india,
4)PCB indirectly putting pressure on BCCI to include Pakistani players by asking SLC to get their players back early,
5) Srilankan cricket board has political problems and some politicians want to completely control it, former cricketers like DeSilva,Ranatunga are sidelined.

Really? That must have been the long lost twin brother of Rajpaksa who was shown on TV sitting right next to Pratibha Patil. Funny, looked exactly the same as Rajapaksa!

What is with the average IQ on this board? I mean I understand you are patriotic but don't leave your brains behind. Patriotic idi0ts are not very helpful to India's cause.
