Swann is really a good spinner .. i would say better than harbhajan because harbhajan relies on the pitch to get the turn, whereas swann actually turns the ball in all pitches. Anyways, the comment is silly. In swann's words does it mean that Pace bowlers who cannot bowl more than 140 kph should be banned from cricket ? In which case he will see his dear mate James anderson getting banned. OHHH ... and what about his own teammate "Michael Yardley" who bowls straight balls and does not even spin 10 degrees.

Yardy is an all-rounder- more of a batsman who can bowl part-time. Fast bowlers need not bowl at 140KMPH , if they can swing/ seam the ball and pick up wickets.
u r a bowler first n then a spinner.. reminds me of wt kumble said a while ago wen someone asked him y he calls himself a spinner if he doesnt turn the ball.. this is wt the legend replied "i'm a bowler n my job is to take wickets n i'm doing it.. so it doesn't matter whether i turn it or not"
Its like saying..ban a batsman who leaves the ball..So Mr. Swann, what happned to you in Bangalore..u turned the ball so much that you got smacked for some of the biggest sixers as well. All bowlers are different. As long as they bowl legal deliveries, it does not matter which ball gets a batsman out, the turning ball, the seaming ball, outswinger, inswinger, bouncer or the straight yorker...!!!

Please, we had enough of you, it is getting boring to watch u post your crap. Now go back and tell all of your fellow new coming haters or learn the trade secrets.
I agree with Swann, we had Kumble who never used to turn the ball. He was like a medicum pacer bowling at a spead of 95 to 100 kmph without turn. Batsman got out thinking the ball will spin :-)

But Why u should ban the bowler. Really don't know what Swann is trying to say here. I think he wants to say that he is a great turner of the bowl like Shane Warne and Murali, which I agree to some extent. Why the hell you should ban the Spinners who have less turn. Is it because they are getting more wickets. May be thats the answer.

I cant believe people were thinking ball will turn for 20 yrs. He has got around 600 test wickets. Watching a bowler turn the ball is good. But taking wickets is an another ball game
He is the most selfish player around after Dada. Just look at his century at the last ball. Surely he did not try to hit the ball for boundary. Just stear the ball to long off, made sure he touch the ball, so that he can complete his century. Are we people sure that we want to watch IPL for Sachin, Gambhir, Kallis etc. playing 20 overs? Surely now its the time to give chance to young players atleast in IPL. Sachin played full 20 overs and young player Rohit Sharma waited in the wings. Gambhir and Kallis play almost 20 overs. Same is with Yuvraj. Time to show others players like walthaty to show their mettle

Did you ever holded a bat? Do not comment any thing against players like Sachin, Kallis. They are legends who should be watched for their art. It is better not to leave for others do complete it. what if MI had folded to less than 150 and sachin making 50 odd runs?

agree - its time for Sachin to retire from International cricket. He should retire with honor not like Ganguly, Kapil Dev or Gavaskar who were forced to retire. This shows the greatness of a great man - many of the australian Greats (except Ricky) and English Greats have retired during their peaks.

Please check stats for Gavaskar before making stupid comments. He scored a century in his penultimate one-dayer (his only ODI 100), scored some 96 odd in a dusty turner in his last test and some 180 odd in the MCC test (against some of the world's best bowlers) just before retirement. You are correct about Kapil and to a certain extent, Sourav.

look at the sillly comments of nischal, amit...they just dont answer straight...vikas has made a frank statement that sachin went for a century on the final ball. he tried to take just a single to complete his century rather than trying to score maximum runs of the last ball. the point that vikas made is logical and correct sachin just showed his selfishness for century and ignored the needs of his team. but vikas frank observation has drawn illogical replies ignoring the point vikas made.

Why I have to watch this crap playing? What he has more in store that he has not used or we have not seen yet and what other young players don't have?
