So many discussion by sachin haters on sachin in Rediff Forum ???? I like their patient, open-mindedness to discuss, to write so many things about a man to whom they hate !!!! Really, they are Sachin Lovers in backside, In front, they are acting like sachin haters !!!
until sivlal yadav in Hyderabad cricket board, he will not selected for indian team. Sivlal wants to promote his stupid son arjun who dont know how to handle bat perfectly.
Re: until sivlal yadav in Hyderabad....

Shivlal yadav rued many hydrebad cricketers carrer by sheer ego like rayaudu, MV sridhar, T sumanth, Ahbraham.
This idiot should be kicked off
another one add to above list is Rajesh yadav: Hyderabad Bowling coach (Shivalal yadav Brother)
Is funny. Now all tendulkar has to do is watch a player and he shines. That will make the perfect coach. Just watch them & they will shine. The media should not take anything from Rayudu who shone on his merit and tendulkar's mentoring had nothing to do with it. Give credit where it is due but this blind worship is irritating to the core
but after all Dhoni cannot say "NO" to the "GOD" right... at least in India if the GOD is behind then you dont need to worry... Sachin the GOD... its Sachin who offered the Captaincy to DHONI...
Re: god

Dhoni has not become so big that he can oppose the GOD... if the GOD says No to Dhoni then the BCCI will also bend..
Praises on WC performance! Support for Bharat Ratna! Now Wisden calls him cricketer of the year! Praises for mentoring Rayadu! Praises, praises and praises!!!!
Guys, spare a thought for the plight of Sachin haters! People who simply cannot tolerate any thing good said about Sachin! Their heads are burning with envy and rage!!

I dont think so. Coz these so called Sachin haters are nothing but logical thinkers who give credit where due but do not get into idol worship and turn a blin side to the rest of the world. Bharat Ratna does not even have a sports category and yet people want it bestowed upon Tendulkar. I'm sure there are other people who have done more for India and gotten nothing perosnla out of it and yet no one would even know who they are............sad state of affairs. One day BCCI will be running the country and all cricketers will be ministers. There are other sports that need attention guys. Cricket is a sport played by 12 countries. Jus coz India excels in it doesnot mean ignore other sports totally. The youngsters need some motivation to take up other sports as well.......

They should make Sachin Man Of the match for every game and let Sachin give that award to actual man of the match. I am not against Sachin on any day, but Rayudu should have got it that day. Yes, you can not blame sachin for that, but your appreciation for him is too much.
Re: Re: Sachin did it..

Yes. I do agree with you. My posting on the match day was WHY SACHIN... Here I appreciate Sachin's gesture. Giving Man of the Match to Sachin might be IPL tactics/decision. I am not sure if any seniors would have done this.
Re: Sachin did it..
by mang on Apr 14, 2011 08:17 AM
What no newspaper reported is that Sachin took it back from Rayudu once they were back in the dressing room...
players from AP have always been sidelined .... the only fellow to have made it big was Md Azaharuddin and he brought shame to the state... ML Jaisimha, Vijayanagaram Maharaja and VVS Laxman are other biggies ... talent in AP will go down the drains thanks to regionalism
Re: nothing new
by Maria Chipollini on Apr 14, 2011 05:25 AM
You are right wonderlust. ICC has agreed that India can play 72 players in their team against others with 11.
Becoz. Indians want polayers from their state, race, language, religion, North-Souuth and East-west.
Indians have tremendous batting power and big mouth lung power.
Re: nothing new
by rumble on Apr 15, 2011 12:03 AM
No....They were never sidelined. Raju..Arshad Ayub. Shivlal Yadav were all given a fair number of chances.
Tendulkar shows his class giving credit to Rayudu. Dhonis shows his crass usurping the MoM award in WC final when everyone knows gambhir was the deserving one. Dhoni tried his best to handicap Yuvraj by promoting himself up the order, when it was plain for all to see Yuvraj was the leading contender for the Man of Series award
Re: Champs and chumps
by nbd nbd on Apr 13, 2011 11:52 PM
Pathetic!!! I appreciate ur views on Sachin, and I agree with you on that... But whatever u wrote about Dhoni is purely your hatred to him.. As such, he was deserving MOM for final, and if he had to make Yuvi handicapped he wouldn't had allowed him to bowl from 1st match itself..
Re: Re: Champs and chumps
by pawarush@rediffmail.com on Apr 14, 2011 12:08 AM
I will not pretend to be a Dhoni fan, I am not. But his decisions concerning some players vs others, leave me questioning. Yuvi is not a bowler who can bat, but a batsman who can bowl. Like Afridi, he happened to hit a purple patch with the ball during the series. But as a batsman, he bats higher up the order than Dhoni, and was performing better than Dhoni during the entire series. Another player in good nick was Yousuf Pathan. He was dumped in favor of Raina, despite the fact that Yousuf had a phenomenal series in South Africa, where Raina flopped miserably, and Yousuf's performance in WC up until he was dropped was better than Dhoni's
Re: Re: Re: Champs and chumps
by Nikunj Dixit on Apr 14, 2011 02:04 AM
Yousuf Pathan got some chances in the WC and he did not perform. And Yousuf did not have a phenomenal series in SA. He made the hundred against New Zealand. As for Dhoni promoting himself over Yuvraj, he gave pretty clear reasons for it. He didn't want two left hander batting against two off spinners. It was a tactical movie that paid off.

No point in talking about technical aspects of cricket to these people.. they'll keep silent now, but after a while, they'll raise the same points again.
Even after 10 yrs from now, they start saying:
Dhoni is biased because he didnt let Ashwin play in WC final and let Sreesanth play instead.
You can tell them a million times that bowling first on a fresh pitch that offers bounce favors seamers more than spinners - was the reason why he chose Sreesanth - especially because they were bowling first.
These bzxturds will still keep whining and whining..
Their saddest moment was that India won the world cup..
They were hoping for us to lose so that Dhoni could be blamed more and their irrational hatred justified.
Re: Re: Re: Champs and chumps
by Kris Kane on Apr 14, 2011 02:08 AM
Really ? what do you say about the decision to include Yusuf instead of Raina till the penultimate stage of finals then ?
Raina would've been an automatic choice all the time, but he kept showing faith in yusuf till the end and continued with kohli as well.
If it were up to bzxturds like your marathi chauvinists, you'd fill the team with nothing but Agarkars, Amres and other useless gully cricketers while denying a chance to rest of the country.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Champs and chumps

dhoni promoting himself up the order was a master stroke...he was confident in playing murali's spin as they both belong to CSK ...this was one of the reason for him going ahead of yuvi....
Yousuf failed against Eng & SA and raina came in picture and was awesome against Aus, Pakis and he never batted against SL.....so his moves were pretty good
Only thing is I felt Gambhir was the MOM on final as he is the one who built the platform along with Kohli.
Stand between Kohli and Gambhir was the turning point in final....
both dhoni and gambhir played great knocks but both had differnt situations and gambhir's situation was like pressure cooker and came out with flying colors.....this is my reasoning as to why Gambhir is deserving mom in finale

Let me make clear that I fully understand and back Dhoni's decision to back Patahn till it was right time to bring in Raina, To promote himself to tackle off-spinners and to control impetuous Gambhir. However, I donot agree with your comments on Marathi cricketers. (1) There are not many in team now. (2) Mumbai has won Ranji trophy more that 50% of times thereby proving its worth (3) Amre scored century on debut and Agarkar was fastest to get 50 ODI wickets. So, they EARNED their places (4) Number of Marathi players who served India is toooooo big. I think it is just a matter of jealousy. Anyway - I am happy to see cricketers emerging from small towns. Decentralization of talent is MOST WELCOME even for Mrathis.

Yusuf had a forgettable world cup in the Pool B matches where his highest was 30 not out against a minnow, Ireland. Dhoni preferred Yusuf over Raina and persisted with Yusuf in the pool matches and Yusuf did not deliver. Also, against England, SA and WI, India lost too many wickets and got all out in the ending over and added only a few runs. Hence the decision of Dhoni and Indian team is to ensure that India does get all out in the knock-outs and bat through its 50 overs and Raina who is technically better than Yusuf is an obvious choice to achieve this objective.
The decision of Dhoni to promote himself is a smart move for one, he can keep the right and left hand combination to unsettle the bowlers and two, Dhoni (and also Raina) are the two players in the Indian team that know the best on how to play Murali (because Murali also plays for CSK in IPL). Raina is leftie and plays down the order. So, Dhoni promoting himself up the order is a good decision and the India's clinical finish of the WC is the result.
So, stop creating the divide now and be happy we won the WC by our consistent batting display. Dhoni, who won T20, IPL, Champions League, Test No.1 status, ICC WC, is undoubtedly the best Indian captain ever.

The "pawar" in your name says everything about your type - the uncouth, barbaric marathi racists who are a nuisance to the entire country..
Plz do us a favor a stick to your regional cricket and spare us of this filthy bigotry against the GREATEST CAPTAIN OF MEN TO EVER TO COME OUT OF ASIA using the GREATEST SPORTSMAN TO EVER COME OUT OF ASIA as a shield.
In reality both Tendulkar and Dhoni are good friends and in fact it was due to Tendulkar's recommendation that BCCI made Dhoni the captain.
Dhoni's class was proved once and for good when he showed dignity even after Sangakkara cheated in the toss of the most important world cup final.. if there was ponting or some pzki cricketer, there would be uncivilized bickering in full world view.

Yuvraj's form in the last two years prior to the World Cup in ODIs and IPL was pathetic and Dhoni stuck to Yuvraj. If Dhoni wanted, he could have dumped Yuvraj without picking him for the world cup. Dhoni could have picked Rohit Sharma, Murali Vijay or Ravindra Jadeja who were part of India team quite regularly prior to the World Cup.

Typical desis. Always trying to find fault in our own people rather than applauding for their efforts.
U guys don't get tired of watching this sport in India. No one cares about cricket outside the subcontinent. Its not a gentlemans sport but a gentle sport where these non atheletes don't pay taxes. Absolute shame!

It seems Rahul Joya needs some refresher course in World affairs. If 2011 ICC World cup is an indication then teams like Netherland, Ireland, Canada were part of the tournament. USA has a team and is trying hard to qualify for the flagship event in future. I find it amusing that illiterates like Mr. Joya comment on things that they have no knowledge about. SHAME ON YOU!!!

I was just wondering if there's another sport in which the sportsmen had to stand and run for almost 6 hours everyday for at least 3 days in a five day stretch. and they call it gentle game. Much better than the crap called baseball, which happens to be a rage in where so called athletes are nothing but bad mouthed bullies
