There are many good sports persons kapil,Milkha singh ,parkash padukone,Gawaskar..time to time but Bhrat ratan is given for benefit of society not for any good sportmen ...so just chill
We should definitely change our National Slogan to "ASATYAMEV JAYATE". As for Sachin, I too am totally with the idea of conferrring him Bharart Ratna. At least the medal would have found a deserving neck (rather than criminals like Gandi's, Nehru's etc or Kangress chamchas.)

All that Muslim Kangress will do is give him promises; at the most, make him the chief of some obscure committee & that's it.
Bharat Ratna the highest civilian award should only be awarded to people for their contributions which go a long way to influence the life of the people, the society in particular, the people of India.For different fields like music, sports, literature there are enough awards to recognize their contributions. I very much agree that Tendulkar is a cricketer of par excellence,but do not agree for Bharat Ratna.
I am failed to wht cant we give our so called Bharat Ratna Award to Sachin if same we can give to our politicains, Musicians like Lata Mangeskar or Bismillah Khan. I agreed cricket has not chagned our life but Indian cricket has given us an honour to taste the win. They have made entire country feel proud. It cricket is not improtant then why did people spent 1 Lakh for 10K ticket, 17 lakh for a 10 sec advertisement, Richest men in asia was fighting for jet parking space at chandigarh. this is not just the cricekt & Sachin cant be compared with any of the cricketer like Ricky Ponting,& all. Just look at his acheivement.

yes i agree with you Guest....SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR deserves "Bharat Ratna"more than anyone else.
Sir, I read and see lot of things that people are recommending Bharat Ratna for Sachin which includes MS dhoni , Harbhajan & Yuvraj Singh apart from other people. I see the countries highest award like Nobel Prize and it should be viewed globally and given to a person who has really done something for the country. By winning a Cricket world cup which is watched by about 1.7 Billion people globally is not as much as compared to Abhinav Bindras Gold Medal in Olympic which is watched by more than the double of Population as that of Cricket and that time nobody even said about Bharat Ratna for Abhinav Bindra. As we have won world cup and Sachin is great cricketer but there are also great cricketers in other country too such as Jaques kallis , Ricky Ponting see their records R ponting won it twice including Champions Trophy bu nobody discussed about his leadership and Australians never said he should get countries highest award. So my sincere request is we should not degrade our Bharat Ratna award which is given to person who has sacrificed his life are who have excelled in Art, Literature etc.

Yes I agree with u Ravindra. There are more than umpteen people who deserves it more than this "Ton"dulkar who has scored runs in thousands and money in millions. Also he is in tax fraud regarding his car and shouldnt qualify for award.

Bharat Ratna is being given to the person who is contributing to his proffesion to make our country proud in world.Bharat Ratna is being given to the Indian no matter about any other countrymen.
This crickters achievement has not changed life of any one in terms growth of the country, growth of the poor Indians, or any foundation for Indian growing children, dying old people, country’s defence or name anything. I do not understand Bharat Rathna for a sports person for what..? Cricket game is not an national game of our country. This game is filled with lots of betting, gambling, fixing of matches before and now and in future too. Therefore this sport cannot be considered for such an award and neither an individual who involved in the sport. We have won world cup already before and nothing new. We haven’t been won off late only becoz politics within the BCCI and regionalism bias and there was no unity. Every sports has to be treated as an achievement when in comes to country. As an individual Sachin has shown individual scores total but his contribution towards winning a match for the country was meagre in numbers. Even he had long time for 2 years his performance was so poor. If any other cricketer, would have asked to retire and many have retired. Sachin was favoured to continue. There is again biased by Mumbai lobby. Majority is not in favour to this highest honour. It is my and several peoples opinion and nothing against Sachin. He is a great player no doubt, honour him suitably but not BHARAT RATHNA. Do not degrade the Bharath Rathna. Please think of and look into Sir M V Visweshvaraiah a man truly deserved the Bharath Rathna and why.

though sachin has not done directly for poors by donations etc...but he made one billion indian citizens smile. we are covered with lots of curruption in india but he gave us reason to smile for a moment. as u have writen....u dont know abot sachins charitable work.. ok?? you just go through it and forget such silly way of thinking.

Hello, Some of your points are correct but as said best donation is the one that is made in private. Sachin donates a lot and don't take any sort of publicity for the same
