you are right .It was fixed because the coffers of ICC and other boards filled by BCCI.so BCCI had to ensure an India win in India .It worked for the corporates who made big bucks it worked for Sharad Pawar BCCi ,the Icc and other boards who get money.
Cricket is now purely entertainment with scripts written before the game not a serious sport

now this guy who is an Aussie supporter has come out of his closet and hiding... So Aussies won all the 3 worldcups by CA Broking is it... Well CA coffers are empty now I guess because of the 3 World cup Purchase with ICC... Hey Pratik, why are you not njoying india's victory,rather than making baseless args. if you think match is fixed, then final match should go to oscar ...for its brilliant entertainment.so much fixing is not possible. but no ways ...nothing is fixed , sply for indian team, nothing came easy to them ....QF & SF sply.

The semis and the finals were both fixed, but I must say the finals were fixed in such manner that it was difficult to notice it. However the semis could be easily identified as fixed looking at the no. of catches that were dropped and also the way they batted.

Well spotted. I guess this match was fixed exactly like the 2003 finals, where Gilchrist and Ponting just went on playing instead of getting out.
Maybe this time the script was changed slightly; coz the world needs another GREAT team now, after the Australians had their share of Fixed matches....
BTW, this phenomenon is not restricted to Cricket, I can tell you. In case you watch Tennis, you can clearly see that most if not all of Federer's matches are fixed. How else can he play those strokes and his opponent sit watching like Sangakkara was doing? Same goes for Nadal too...
I think all sports fans like you and me should raise our voice and boycott World Cup, Tennis, Olympics etc. etc... till every player is given a consolation medal and a spot on the podium... What say?

I am glad that u r proud to be an indian. I am sorry if u r hurt by my comment. I have so many muslim friends here but i don't doubt any of those. U wrote a few things that will hurt any indian fans. No one is scared of pakistan here. As far fixing is concerned, it's pakistani players who get involve in such act.
