Irish team is the best performing team among the minnows.
I think ICC should have a tournament between Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ireland, Canada & Netherlands to pick its 10th and final team or allow 12 teams for the next World Cup since Zimbabwe and Kenya featured in a few world cups held earlier.
Who the hell is so repulsively short minded to take such decisions ? This is like world cup soccer is now played between just 8 teams. Then whats the meaning of WORLD CUP...just say Cricket Cup with lot of rupees in it.
With only 10 countries competing why not just play 5 qarterfinals, 2.5 semis and 1.25 final ? DAMN...my math will not work, but may be ICC will figure this out. IS ICC for promoting cricket in the world or to insult it ?

If you have a 1.25 final, how will you present that 1 cup to the winner?
Do you also have a suggestion on how to make or stretch that 1 world cup to 1.25 world cup?
Dear Rediff and ICC Everyone loves the Irish team and wants to see them play again. Everyone hated this decision particularly the Irish team who have taken heart from their peformance here. The next WC is 4 years away and this decision can be reversed - right? Please review this decision and include all deserving countries. Ireland will anyday beat Zimbabwe Bangladesh and other minnow team. They bring a lot of excitement to the game. Mr Sharad Pawar - you are a disgrace!
