Points Calculation
by Kilo Voltage on Apr 06, 2011 10:45 PM

The points calculation needs revision. It must be based differently - on opposition team (ranking) the player has scored runs or bowled against. So if Dilshan has scored 50 against Ind, Aus which are higher in rankings he gets more points - and lesser points if he has scored against Kenya, Canada etc.

......real value by winning the World Cup, not by maximising the sum of your batting, bowling and fielding points.......

This only shows you ignorance in the game..When this guy has done everything right with the bat, bowl and feild, and than rest of the as@holes in his team performance without any focus or comittment, how he is suppose to win the world cup on his own...do you think Yuvraj has won the WC alone..?

Yuvi should be rated 1 by rediff
by Arvind on Apr 06, 2011 04:44 AM

362 runs and 15 vital wickets (that includes 4 man of the match awards). He should be the one on top.

The facts that got the MVP for Yuvraj ahead of Dilshan
by Nathan Somas on Apr 06, 2011 02:11 AM

He got 4 MOM awards compare to Dilshan 2
He was a fulltime bowler compared to Dilshan who was used as part-timer

Cricket is hardly played by 6 or 7 countries in the world that too confined to British colonial rule. Such a game cant be called a world sport and this stupid game has already replaced hockey which is supposed to be the national game. The recent semi finals and finals has become an asian affair which has reduced the game to regional level. More than enriching the board, few players, lot of advt companies, this game did nothing to the youth, on the other hand it is eating away their valuable time and resources

He is genuinely interested in this game. Thats why he is visiting the site and writing this comment on a subject which is exclusively discussing Cricket?

hey mister, ifr people watch hockey, then also their time will be wasted. if somebody performs well we have to appreciate them. hockey world cup is also played only by 12 countries. let india perform well in hockey . they will be appreciated

MVPI should be enhanced
by Sutinder Sethi on Apr 06, 2011 01:17 AM

More weightage should be given to whether you won the match or not.
i.e scoring a 90 for the winning team is more valuable than scoring 100 for the losing team.
