When I watched this game...I thought one thing was missing that was Kumble presence..lets not be too modest..you are on of the greatest bowler of the ERA at par with Tendulkar..I only wish you had stayed a bit longer to play this world cup...If I were the CM I would have named several things after you Roads, Railway stations, part of the Chinnasway stadium..one needs to put an art work statue of you spinning the ball in front of Chinnasway stadium..nothing short..

Being your RV college junoir..allways watched you play in RV college grounds..cherised it..you are now KSCA Prez..I am requesting you to change the selectiopn process....when I went to U15 selection several years ago..they give 2 over to bowl and 2 over to bat and in that short span they decide who makes it to the state team..dont you think its unfair?..Most of the team is decided by means of politics even before the seletion..Can you intorduce a leage system where in players play many many games internally within the state and final team is choosen based in averages of an year..in a transparent process that way nobody influences the selction process..this will give india more Kumble;s and Sachin's..I missed out being part of the U15 team long time ago due to scams that happen..hopefully you can change that for better for future gen's..good luck and have a good time photographing wild life..
to go for more and more corruption, scandals and inflation. It will inspire consumer companies to increase their product prices as Indian public will buy more the products endorsed by cricketers.
And it will inspire Indians to forget about Corruption, scandals, Inflation, plethora of social issues and problems they are facing, and give a clean approval to the Govt to go for further loot of the country.

World cup triumph will only inspire indian bookies. Only some of the commonwealth countries have played. It should not be called 'World cup'.
If India can win World cup with the help of 15 members and with prayers from all Indians all over the world.
Now Anna Hazare a senior citizen going for fast until death on April 5th. Guys lets build better India. We can say yes we are Indians and we build our country free of corruption.
Please support this cause and get out of the World Cup fever. The World cup will come every 4 years. But these opportunities will come once in a life time. Lets get motivated from the Egypt,Yemen, Libya. We should control our politicians.

No matter how many award and trophies are given to sachin yuvraj and dhoni, for me ponting is the man of the tournament and real champion.
had he not been such a destructive force for australian cricket, india could not have won world cup so easily. hats off to the real master, our agent down under

Dunno about Cool Dude, but you seriously need a brain implant to enable you to comprehend what's going on around you, including reading Rediff messages and understanding slightly more than bits and pieces of them!! :)

And BTW all these wanted Dhoni to make a little bit contribution with the bat as well and he did it in style when needed the most. I am sure all are as happy as you are.

sports lover, everybody may be as happy as i am but they should know that they must make the correct expectations from players...what do they expect dhoni to make when he comes so low down the order. naturally at no. 6 or 7 and with only 10-12 overs remaining he cannot obviously hit 50s and 100s like the top order batsman can. you expect dhoni to score as many runs at 6 or 7 position that batsmen at positions 1, 2 3 or 4 can make?
if everybody wanted dhoni to make contributions they should also see in what conditions he makes those scores. in this wc he got no chance against BD, against eng also he came at the end and did his bit 31 runs of 25 balls, against SA he was unfortunate that wickets fell at the other end and was left stranded...against ireland etc. when he had to chase with early wickets falling there was no big target to chase and hence the slow batting. if he made 19 runs in 40 balls then there was no need to score quick. if faster rate was required he would have scored fast but since the require rate was only around 4 runs he had only to see that no further wickets fail. plus there was the job of allowing yuvi to score his 50. so he had to waste balls. against pak too he had to see that there was no collpase like in previous games and so he was watchful at first and made 25 of 42 balls ensuring that wickets did not fell in a heap and raina could later play fast.
sports lover, people must see his batting position and then expect the runs accordingly....

You are worried about abusers. But shouldn't you be just happy that India won the world cup and it was a team effort.

sports lover, of course i am happy that india won the world cup and it was a team effort. BTW, it is ALWAYS a TEAM EFFORT. but some blind sachin fanatics dont look at it that way and always give him the credit of winning 'single-handedly' by stealing the credits of other 10 players performances and donating it to sachin....i am against such people and i will always be...and i will reply them in the language that they understand...i play the game by their rules their logic and their language....

right.. if bharath ratna need be given to a cricketer the it should be Kapil dev.. who started the art of fast bowling in a country like india and won the 1983 cup for us. Sachin is a selfish person playing for centuries. no wonder india loses when he scores a ton..
Sachin, Gavaskar, Kapil, Ravi Shastri are anti-social. Without voluntarily retiring, they've denied/deprived opportunities to young Muslims/Christians/Anglo-Indians/Sikhs/BC/SC/ST cricket players.

It is time that people like PO stop posting senseless and antisocial messages. Donst ask for 'reservations' in cricket as well, you loser!
