We had better team in 1996, 1999, and 2003 and all these three teams were balance we had great bastsmen and more than average bowlers, and still we lost 2011 team is great batsmen and average bowler and still we won life could be simple

beacuse dhoni is always kismat ka dhani. Already astrologers/pandits doing research on his kundali. See his record in last 25 ODIs. No fifty. Failed in all 8 matches of wcup as well as all five matches in SA series. All matches he scored less than 25 with poor strike rate of 67. Any other player with this type of performance could have benn kicked out but he was allowed to play & finally he scored good in finAL. THATS WHAT IS CALLED LUCK. Now days in corporate world people link luck with dhoni.

Thats a narrow minded comment. If that were true, why did Yuvi get man of the series.
No doubt Sachin is one of the greatest cricketer. But, he is just one of eleven players in the team. Can he win world cup along with ten others like you and me? If that was possible, this would have been India's 7th Worldcup. One for Kapil's devils and 6 for Sachin and Co

I agree with u srirangan M. Dhoni is only on luck otherwise how he can be allowed to play after 25 successive failures in ODI & last 8 match failures in this wcup. Even kartik or parthiv patel will never fail in 10 matches continously. These poor chaps are dropped after every 2-3 match poor score while ordinary player like dhoni is allowed to play after repeated failures. It is purely luck

Mr. Srirangan,Why you are bringing luck factor again here? Dhoni's Captaincy was wonderful and exclusive considering Ltd choice of bowlers and avr. fielding. (Luck is every where in life). I salute to Dhoni and Indian Team..

yes dhoni captaincy was well exposed during tied match against England & loss against SA. Both tight match he lost. As a batsman also before final he failed in all 8 matches in continuation to 5 failures in SA series. Any tom, dick & harry can score runs if his position is secured even after 13 consecutive failures

I donot knw why but some Indians feel proud finding non-existent faults even with the good about the country. Same with the tata nano. When the world praises it, some of us talk false non-sense abt it.
Congrats to team India for world cup triumph,Dhoni is gr8 captain leading men in blues victory over SL,now it's high time Sachin should be awarded "BHARAT RATNA".
out of 15 following shall not be there sachin,zaheer,munaf,nehra,bhajji,viru,piyush. majority of them bowlers. so time for search of bowlers starts now.

Dont under estimate Sreesanth. During the recent South Africa Tour he took five wickets and was responsible for the victory. His only problem is his ego. If he really wants to stick to the Indian side, he should try to control himself and play. Then he has a good future.
