Warn Sehwag!
by madhavakannan m on Apr 05, 2011 08:05 PM

You cant take the Umpire Review for granted!
Both the cases, he asked for review without consulting the runner. Both the reviews were unsuccessful!

Whatever player you are! You cant take the limited review options the team has for granted!

I have read somewhere that Dhoni shave off his head at midnight between 2.45 A.M. to 3.00 A.M. as per instructions by some pandit....

As that pandit had adivised dhoni to do so after winning the world cup...

Dhoni had point to prove
by Rationalist on Apr 04, 2011 11:07 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni seemed was on a mission to prove a point. That India can win even when Coward Sachin flops as he always does when needed most. It was a tight slap on the Selfish media and all Sachin followers in and outside Cricket world who equate Indian Cricket with him and made him into a God. To all those mafia who promoted Sachin all these years and made him a Demi God for no reason. Infact India lost on both occasions when Sachin scored a Century in this world cup. Thank God he did not score a century in final and semifinal.

Sachin Tendulkar flops in Semi-Final at Mohali. India out of World Cup. Pakistan and Sri Lanka to play in the finals. Post-Script: A jubilant Sangakara carried the World Cup home to Sri Lanka, together with the President of Sri Lanka!

Here is what I dont understand.

1. Sachin not performing? The man is the highest run getter in this world cup for india. Second highest overall. What else do you want?

2. Sreesanth getting 1 crore? All finalists have been gifted 1 crore. WTF? The guy is out the entire cup, and is taken in on a freak pitch, and sure enough, the dkhead gets blasted all over the park, only to end up getting 1 crore rupees in his kitty?

Boss it is a team game.
Team has one, you can indicidually thank any player when they are rewarded.

Can you say Yusuf Pathan and Sreesanth cannot share the moment of lifting the cup after victory ?

Can they declare 14 Cr for players and distribute it proportionately on the basis of performance ? It can happen on their individual contract where the performance linked bonuses are involved.

Dont be pathetic.

Re: SACHIN this was for you
by Gladiator on Apr 04, 2011 07:28 AM
True, he has single handedly lifted to moods of this entire nation umpteen number of times. He has been an inspiration to rise above our mediocrity. Nobody who has ever lifted the willow even comes close to this man’s genius. His dedication and metal strength is unparallel. This is specially for those people who would have made fun of him when India loses. They are people who are mediocre in their own lives. Who just scoff at others to create cheap fun. Who have lived in a small hole throughout their lives and thought they have seen the oceans.

Imagine what would be the magnitude of the inner struggle for him, pain both mental and physical, tears that have frozen with time, knees and ankles and every other joint in the body that is either bandaged or needs to be attended to every night, eyes that don’t sleep before a big game, bats that have scored 99 international tons and still see expectations from a billion people.

And he just converts those expectations into reality. We watch in awe, feel privileged.

It was time that his team realizes that enough is enough. They have an obligation, not towards their country alone but towards sachin. They need to win this one for him and they did. This is not just a game, and he is not just a sportsman. Its much more than this. Words fail here....

And as Virat rightly said: Tendulkar has carried the burden of nation for 21 years; It was time we carried him.

Sachin always chokes on the big occasion
by Abe Oye on Apr 04, 2011 07:09 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin always chokes on big occasions, and sure enough he failed in the final, just like in the final of WC 03. Its great that team India now has other batsmen like Gambhir, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Kohli who still won us the match. These marathis are very feeble minded and weak people. Certainly not captain material..
Captaincy should always be reserved for the North Indians, and team also should be 90% north Indian...

Somehow with great difficulty he managed 85. He did'nt mean it though any other player in his place would have also done it, may be even better. But what happened in final when it mattered most? What happened in 2003 finals? In 1999 world cup against Australia?

He gives confidence to everyone in the dressing room.
No one can replace a tendulkar.Infact I think that Sehwag should be dropped down the order and Sachin should bat with a new comer.Thats the way to go.

Infact I think that Sachin is too good and Should play in the next world cup too.He is a great guy and we just cannot lose him.No one can replace sachin. There is no one like him.

People compare him with lara, well, lara after sachin did and left before sachin.

He is Don bradman,he is a great guy.so dont talk that sachin should be dropped.

Jesus,Gandhi,
VIvekananda,Amitabh,Mandela, these are great people of the world,no one can replace them.
