Dravid is replaced with Virat, which made a big difference to team India. Dravid was a very slow batsman only the wall. Virat & Yuvi r the match winners, Thanks to the selectors

FABULOUS PERFORMANCE

What a team work; what a determination; what a collective thought; each player is like role model for future new team members. Though i am in KSA, as an indian i am not alone.,enjoyed by watching TV , the happy moments of fellow indians i feel myself as one of them.

Let us aim for next world club with same consistancy, and spirit.

The senseless full toss balls by Zaheer Khan in the slog overs in SL Innings in WC 2011 cost India too many runs. The management should look into and take care of the matter.

Dhoni the best captain
by santosh pathak on Apr 03, 2011 06:01 PM

Nobody should doubt that Dhoni is the greatest Indian captain and Sachin the greatest indian cricketer of all time. Peole may argue that Sourav was the main architect of the current Indian cricket team. True, but it is the coolness and calmness as well as astute leadership qualities that has made it the world champion. Dhoni has not only won 20-20 world cup, 50-50 world cup and has lead the team to be the world No. 1 but has also won IPL and challenger trophies. He also made chennai super kings which consists of players from different countries a force to reckon in all the three editions of IPL that has been played till date. There have been some good captains of Indian cricket team but Dhoni is the best.

Zaheer Khan should be dropped
by siva kumar on Apr 03, 2011 06:41 AM  | Hide replies

Zaheer Khan should be dropped from the side and suitable replacement should be groomed.
Zaheer Khans' one over cost India the 2003 world cup.
Yesterday also we almost lost the match due to poor bowling at the death overs.

And you should be placed in a mental asylum. It was Zaheer who took the wickets when they mattered the most. And Wankhede stadium is traditionally a batting ground.Read the facts before commenting on this forum!

Even the best of the best bowlers can have bad days…consider the 1st 5 overs where Zak just gave 6 runs…he has been bowling non stop for 50 days with no solid partner from other end..speareading the attack taking 21 wickets..still you want more..people like you criticize for the sake of..get a life man..even on his off days Steyn and Morkel well belted for over 70 runs..remember Gwalior where Sachin scored a double ton..Steyn was massacred..even Sri Lanka bowlers like Malinga were spanked
We all know that Zak is rated as one of best seam bowlers in the world..but you can expect him to do wonders ever time..he is himan..he is bound to err..he also has a body that is tiring..so stop being critical of aman who bowled excellently throughout the tournament..you can get 21 wickets by fluke..you have earn it..I would say you better consult a psychiatrist..

Bengali violence
by siva kumar on Apr 03, 2011 06:38 AM  | Hide replies

Bengali's violence was the reason for India losing 1996 world cup.
There was enough chance to win the semi final even after losing early wickets.
But the brainless and unsportive Eden Garden did not allow to progress the match.
Had they remained calm this would have been our
Third world cup.
