Well done Shahid Balwa, you may have been arrested and sitting behind the bars, but your money also played India get this World Cup. With Sharad Pawar in the middle, who is a greatest fixer of all times, India did not have any problem in winning this world cup. Just to fool the people, the toss drama was enacted...India well done, you are showing the signs of what an unexpected affluence does to nations and individuals. You are buying companies, and teams as well. I am enjoying though, but less sentimental.

Attitude by Indians, especially Dhoni, Yuvraj after the win. Not a mention of thanks to Sri Lankans. Shows how immature Indians are - indeed it takes a lot to grow up.
The only difference between the two Indian teams who lost to Sri Lanka in Eden Gardens in 1996 and the team just won the world cup beating the same Sri Lanka is how good they were in handling pressure.
In both the team there were world class players but in Eden Garden when a couple of wickets lost initially, the rest succumbed to pressure and wept. Who will forget Kambli leaving the crease crying like a child.
But this time we had players like Gambhir, Dhoni, Yuvi and then Raina who are masters in handling pressure and the result is the world cup.
That is the reason why I rate these players and many other young players who couldn't make to the eleven like Yusuf high above even Sachin Tendulkar.
Gambhir is now in the same league of Arvind D’Silva who played a classic innings in the final of the world cup the only time Sri Lanka won the cup. However, I would like to specially congratulate Dhoni who decided to come even before Yuvi and that way taking responsibility on his shoulder.
