We really lost hope when we lost 2 quick wickets after Srilanka put up impressive total of 274, however Gautam Gambhir, Virat and MSD did not loose any, Congratulations to the entire team.
One small thing I thought would have been better was Gautam Gambhir given the Man of the match trophy instead of Dhoni.

The Nucleus of the Team is the best ever for India starting from Captain & Wicketkeeper Batsman Dhoni to Openers Tendulkar and Shewag,Batsmen Gambhir,Kolhli,YPathan & Raina Spin Alrounder Yuvraj Singh, Spinners Harbhajan & Ashwin, Pace Bowers Zaheer,Munaf,Nehra and others.The only other options which could have given some extra bite atleast in the bench strength (it was not necessary in this world cup ofcourse) was pace bowler Ishant Sharma and pace alrounder Irfan Pathan and Rohit Sharma as a hard hitting batsman. Although comparisons cannot be made of different time periods one can't help feel that this team is yards ahead of the 1983 WC winning team which then won more out of luck and Kapil Dev's brilliance and Vivian Richards carelessness although each of the others contributed a bit. Now going forward I see three immediate tasks ahead (1) Tendulkar aims for the 300 run mark (2) India such pitches (and better) for the forthcoming Test,ODI and T20 matches (3)Work hard to get young genuine pace and spin bowlers to challenge the current bowlers and help team India do something it has not done before - Win the WC on the trot and in Asustralia Xavier
ICC is lying to cover-up their error of giving duplicate cup to Indian team … compare the previous match winning pictures of 1997, 2003 and 2007 world cups… It is 100 percent fake (duplicate) cup. I just compared the cup with 1999 (trophy cup in Steve Waugh hands), 2003 and 2007 (in Ricky Ponting’s hands) after winning the world cup in the match-winning field. This Cricket world cup is a rolling cup and should be same for the winning team of world cup for every Four years. Clear and instant identification to identify the real cup is - the real cup will have the Gold badges (emblems) on the bottom base of the cup. Watch carefully and compare with previous world cups in Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting hands. You will understand how shameful is ICC and its management. Shame on you ICC…
