He Got the Shoe Back

Ijaz Butt has learnt the hard way that you cannot fool people by making counter allegations. His mistake was in trying to emulate his equally naive Interior Minister Rehman Malik who is an exper in the art of trowing back the same allegation when accused.

I think his biggest mistake was mentioning that there were "whispers in the booking circles" that English players were paid to lose the game. I'm sure he didn't think about the implications of such a statement: how did Butt know about the talk in Bookie circles, is he active in such circles. When these questions came to haunt him through reactions to his statement, he had to back down, eat his own words in humiliation, slap himself with his left shoe, and receive a slap from the EWCB on his right cheek. I remember there was a picture in Rediff that aptly captured the mood of a dejected, humiliated, and downcast Butt; looked like he had been forced to issue an apology under threat to his life.

This is what will happen to Pakistan if they continue to think that they can fool toe world or hold countries to ransom by protecting terrorists and using them as a tool to blackmail the international community. One day the pack of lies will come crashing down so hard that they'll not know what hit them.

The best way would be to accept the truth, face reality, and work at changing attitudes, beliefs, and mindsets. The dragon is lurking just round the corner and you never know when it will be at the

Paki's do what they r good at.They r crooks, terrorists,shameless,fixers,uncultured,spineless.
When Paki president takes 10 % on all deals, why not players will b fixers. When PM, Presidnet, army chief,Bin Laden,ISI chief all live, dine and hatch plan together, what else one can expect from this country and it's citizens. When PCB chief is part of the team which made the deal on match fixing, what one should expect from the players ?? Pakistan shud b banned from all forms of international cricket for a decade.

PCB are damn sure that they can earn more money if they lose a match by match fixing than wining and they use their player as a medium for it...

Their logic is,they can earn 10 times if they fix a match.Honesty is never in their culture, upbringing.Their arrival in this world itself is dishonestly.Pakistan was created dishonestly and will perish in consequence to it.
