Without any hesitation please summon Ashwin. He is a far better bowler than Harbhajan at present.I am sure Ashwin will do well and put the selctors in an embarrassing situation to drop Bhajji.

Now, with Ashwin being leading bowler in CLT20 is making ppl say bring him to International!!
But if he fails in first match, the same guys ll come out saying regionalism and Srikanth intentionally took Ashwin into team..

In IPL and CLT20 he has already exposed and now must be in all coach's laptops. So give him a try and he is good batsman too.

Harbhajan WAS a good bowler in the past but no longer,except in the opinion of Dhoni whereas Ashwin is doing better than him these days.regionalism has nothing to do with this fact.
One hopes that Gambhir and Sehwag are fit to play. If one of them or both of them are not fit, in my reckoning their places should go to Manish Pandey and Murali Vijay.
If Harbhajan is not fit and does not play, it will be a blessing in disguise. Cricketwise, he can be better replaced by one of the following: Pragyan Ohja, Piyush Chawla, R Ashwin. I presume that in Indian conditions the team will go in with two spinners and the first place goes to Amit Mishra.
The non-cricketing reason why Bhajji is better excluded is that his absence will make sure that there is no unnecessary flare up of tempers and heightening of sledging by the Aussies.

Manish hasnt done anything extraordinary to merit a place in international team as of now. .Rahane is far better than Manish!!
If both are not fit, Dravid can open with Vijay and get in Pujara into the middle order..
