Indian conditions
by Adnan on Sep 26, 2010 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

We need to take into consideration the fact that the Aussies will be playing on Indian pitches which may not be as quick or a bouncy as WACA Perth or Gabba Brisbane. Sehwag has got big 100s against top pace bowling attacks on fast pitches. 'Targeting' is easier said and done!

i think you need to go through his record more carefully...

being an opener he has a very good record overseas. he has performed in newzealand, england, australia.

although im not an indian (am from across the border) I would laught on Johnsons face on this! Veeru has no weaknesses please..if he gets out cheaply its only cz of his carelessness or error in judgement..the guy is just too good..and johnson just got a hammering from low profile pakistani batsmen..what is he talking about! i am supporting India..no more gora party!

short pitch stuff from round the wicket is the weakness of sehwag....jhonson is a left arm pacer....not an ordinary subcontinenet seamer.....got pace and bounce.....he got him out bowled through the gate last time during one day series repeatedly.....
AUS are good at planning and executing at the middle.....
sehwag lacks footwork against moving deliveries...

we shall see Sunil...Maybe he got him out once or twice..but Sehwag is a class act..Indian team currently is just too good in Test.

it's his weakness..!!!!!
not as great as sacin and dravid.....
AUS know how to bowl at him...
2 left arm seamers...round the wicket...fetch him couple of deliveries out side the offstump.....then....sneak one through between bat n pad.....LBW or bowled.....this is going to happen throught this series to sehwag....
sehwag never covers the line of the ball...that's his weakness against moving deleveries...

Deliveries are not going to move that much in Indian tracks... It may move in first few overs but not so dangerous.. If bowlers are going to bowl full, Sehwag ll get it in his zone and if they try out short deliveries and fail to get him, they are going to waste the usage of the conditions perfectly..

Not covering the line was his weakness once.. But with the whip he plays to the midwicket these days, he can cover the line and create the scoring oppurtunity with his weakness too!!

Lets see hoiw well they execute the plan and how well Viru tackles it..

Nothing counts..
by satish chandar on Sep 25, 2010 06:35 PM

Nothing counts in cricket apart from the performance on the field.. Every batsman is vunerable against short ball.. Even the aussies.. Lucky for them that Indians dont have the bowlers to bowl pacy short deliveries.. Lets see in Ashes how they handle the bouncers..
