Over the years we have seen so many big hitters in cricket. In the vintage years there was Sobers who hit 6 sixes in an over and Viv Richards,Clive Loyd,Botham etc. After that there came Afridi, klusener,Cairns etc.But i think nobody can really match Keiron pollard because he hit big sixes effortlessly and huge distance. If somebody can atleast come near to Pollard that may be Chris Gayle or Yousuf Pathan.I hope in the next auction he will be available for my home team Kochi in the IPL season 4.
Even in live matches i have seen a strange inclination of commentrators like Ravi Shastri, Harsh Bhogle, Sunil Gavaskar towards MI...and they are partial towards RCB & CSK...Harsha/Sunil were even discussing how MI can get into next league provided RCB lose today...

depends on how we look at it.. they were discussing different possibilities / combinations of results, by which MI can or will make to the next round! btw, RCB will surely lose today! :)
After great and powerful Inning of Pllard people will say why only Pollard can play such shots why not sachin or Duminy, then i will counter him ,why only Malinga can bowl slingy action yorker why Zaheer can not bowl same yorkers. every player has its specialty Zaheer can swing both the ways but Malinga can not.
But still after watching 9 sixes all were lusty blows i don't understand why ball did not deviate after pitching and edge gone in to keepers hand. because once it's struck with his bat it always go outside the boundary, i rarely found him caught at boundary line
you cannot compare sachin with pollard, sachin is only 1.64M tall, whereas pollard stands 1.98M.there style of batting is completely different, sachin is a grafter, with flicks & square cuts being his favourites,on the other hand pollard is a big hitter whose favourite shots are the straight lofted shots & heave to mid-wicket.pollard's style of play suits the shorter version of the game, whereas sachin is a master in the longer version.
in the IPL 3 finals this year,MI were chasing a modest target set by CSK,& sachin for no reasons understood kept back pollard to no 9 in the batting order, which cost MI the match, as the target of 55 runs in 17 balls was too steep. when sachin sent pollard @ no 4 in y'day's match, he won the match for MI,with his superlative hitting.hope sachin has realised the mistake he committed in the IPL3 finals.

Sending Pollard down in the final was the a game by fixers and always a questionable move. MI made much money by loosing that match
Pollard showed to the whole MI team how to play like a man. Hope Sachin gets a clue from the big fellow. Simply praising Pollard is not going to help, sachin should accept he himself is a weakling and incapable of such a powerful innings.

Comparing Pollard innings to that of sachin will make sachin seem like weak fellow, incapable of scoring such big sixes.

my friend..Pollard is a good player and a good big hitter but u cant compare him with a legend like Sachin..Sachin allready proved himself what he is..nothing to prove again...& for Pollard he had done well in Champions leage 2009 for Trinidad & Tobaco, IPL 3 for Mumbai Indians & this time Champions leage also..but tell me why he is a flop shower for West Indies Cricket..I guess u remember his badly poor performance in Twenty 20 World Cup 2010 in his Country West Indies..First let him play good cricket for his contry & then we will decide who is the best...

Ask Pollard to score 48 Test Centuries and 46 ODI Centuries..... Although he is a class of his own, please do not take out comparisons like these.

You seems to be a educated chap. Whats the use of century is the team doesnt win or is not benefitted? Only catches win matches, not centuries. For some extent sixes also wins matches in this modern t20 matches.

Everybody has a style of playing .. and Sachin's style is different from Pollard .. Why do we need to compare .. let Pollard stick around for a few years .. and consistently perform .. then we can think of comparing ...

Sticking around like a leech is not the point of great cricketer. Bradman scored only some 8500 runs in test still he is considered the greatest batsman.

why to claim your self a stupid, comapring pollard with sachin itself shows your weak growth of brain, when dont know where and when and how to compare a sort of thing just keep quit, dont expose your standard, once in blue moon innings ar great for you, dont know cricket just shut up
