The Berlin Wall was still intact, USSR was one big, big country, Dr Manmohan Singh was yet to "open" the Nehruvian economy.
It seems while Time was having his toll on every individual on the face of this planet, he excused one man. Time stands frozen in front of Sachin Tendulkar.
We have had champions, we have had legends, but we have never had another Sachin Tendulkar and we never will.

That test series is best remembered for fast bowler waqar younis making his debut and in his first test hitting sachin tendulkar on his face with a rising delivery. Sachin’s figures after his first test series against Pakistan read as follows-4 tests 6 innings total runs 215 highest 59 average 35.83 strike rate44.14 100s-0 50s-2. If today some Indian batsman debuts in a tests series with the above stats he would be an object of ridicule for fans like you. Instead of sachin taming imran and company it was sanjay manjrekar who was our hero in that series and the one who really tamed imran and company making 569 runs in the test series making 2 hundreds (including one double hundred) and 3 fifties. Besides manjrekar, azhar making 312 runs with one hundred and 2 fifties and sidhu with 269 runs with 3 fifties who were our other batting heroes.

Well, I am a great fan of Sachin. However, there was a legend who conquered the world much more than Sachin does. He was Dhyanchand. We don't get to see Dhyanchand today but his greatness cannot be belittled by Sachin's achievement.
In terms of bringing laurels to India, Sachin is far behind the greatest hokey player. He was named magician. His hokey sticks were tested for possible presence of magnets. Foreign countries refused tounament if he was not in the squad.
So, Sachin, with all his due respect, is yet to create such magic. Perhaps, he would never be able to do so.

I wonder why Sachin is not representing our India Team T20, when he has got so many talents to play in the same.
Unfortunately, he decided not to represent our Team in T20 Matches. But at the same time, he repreents & play for Mumbai Team is bit surprising & sad as well.
Since the youngster represents our Indian Team in T20 R not Proudctive, hence if Sachin decides & come out of that shell by breaking his personal decision, that will B Gud for the entire Indian Team & augurs well for the countrys Victory.
Sachin V want 2 represent our Indian Team, which is everybodys request & even 4 mine as well.
Will U do that wonder boy & the Genius & Legend of all times?

Ramesh, Sachin's on the verge of retirment. May be in 2011 would be his last year in international cricket. There is yet no replecement even for Dravid forget about Sachin. That's why he isn't playing in every ODI series and has retired from int T20 for a long time. of course India can't depend on Sachin forever, hence, they needed to get some good replecement for him, Dravid and Laxman, specially for tests. If Sachin keeps playing in every ODI and T20, how are they gonna test new players? There are Gilly, Haydo, Kumble, Warne who are retired but playing in T20 matches and doing much better than youngsters. This doesn't mean they all should come back. They are legends but youngsters do need a chance to prove themselves. Talk about money..don't you want it if it comes in your way? Morebesides, they can't leave this game easily since when they are involved in this for a long long time. So they have got a lovely chance to play a little more and earn some money alongside.

what a joke this whole thing is; tempt any country to send 15 jokers for the tournament; they also, along with the rest, make a buck; then everybody keeps beating them and stays alive in the tournament; these silly teams don't mind getting whipped as long as they make the buck; stupid midget, who else but the clown sachin, adds to his record as do the others; we, more stupid than the whole lot of them, either watch the game or make these unnecessary comments. how clownish the whole thing is.

Sohail i guees Sachin, Dravid and Laxman carier are almost over. After 2011 World Cup u cants ee them in world cricket but tell me some names for their replacements..in t20 & odis no problem.if they dont play no problem but wht about tests..Till date India is No 1 in Tests but after their retirements i dont think so India can manage to maintain this position.. Now u r telling this but later u will regards wht u said today
